Race 2 - Seachange EW. Has eased a little and Coniston Gem has shortened, but that could change again tomorrow.
Race 3 - Miss Finland for the win. Should be too good.
Race 4 - Haradasun followed by Efficient in an Exacta.
Race 5 - Tough race to predict. I think Casual Pass could maybe suprise, so may have a little punt on him for the win.
I also see Gallant Guru has come in a bit, especially from the fixed odds they've offered. Not the ideal distance for him, but he can really find the line, and he could maybe surprise as a place chance. Not the worst effort in the Orr Stakes las run.
Race 6 - I did like Shrewd Rhythm and Victory Chant. But looking at the past Blue Diamond Winners, I'm going with Camarilla or Familial for the win. Camarilla doesn't have a good barrier but she won the Prelude and will come home well.. Familial ran a sizzling 800m trial time at Cranbourne last week with blinkers that it'll wear tomorrow. I may chuck in Cecconi on a Box Exacta. Certainly some value to be had in this race though.
Race 7 - Magnus, Shadoways, Fast N Famous and Tesbury Jack on a Box Trifecta. I can't see any other horses really in the reckoning here.

I'm of the same opinion as Ricketts, I think Mutawaajid could suprise over Gold Edition.

Race 1 - Nediym's Glow is coming off a slightly dissapointing Spring Carnival I thought where I think she could have pressed a few of the good sprinter's a touch better. She would pants this field though at her best over 1100m and Gate 2 gives no excuses. Wish Callow was still here to ride her though - needs an aggressive ride.

Race 2 - Hanna Rossa nearly made my day last run with a bold 2nd placing. She is still under-rated and will give Seachange a good run for her money from Gate 2 again and a fair weight advantage.

Race 3 and Race 4 - Miss Finland and Haradasun, cya at the Guineas
Race 5 - Based on the Orr the finishing position also seemed to translate in order of the way the horses finished off the race so I wouldnt expect the first few in order to be over 1800: Marasco, followed by Aqua D'Amore, Casual Pass, Pompei Ruler. King of Ashford seems to be the only main danger to squeeze in amongst that four as the rest had substandard runs last time in. With the wide gate Casual Pass might be edged by KOA but I expect PR to improve so it will be 6-10-4-7-3.

Race 6 - An absolute raffle every year, all I know is last year I tipped Nadeem before the Preludes but jumped off before the big one. This year my initial gut feeling was Deferential from the C+Gs and Chinamora from the F's. Both had similar runs last week plugging away. Deferential is my tip as I feel he has more upside for this run and would have been set since his fantastic effort in the Spring. Gate 1 is perfect to sit around midfield on the fence but with plenty of speed in the will reel them in in the final 150. Shinn aboard is a good sign considering Camarilla won the Fillies preview with him aboard.

Race 7 - Bit dissapointed to see Fast n Famous as favourite as I thought I might be the only one expecting him to explode this year after a crap ride and flat run Derby day in the Spring. Would be more confident on a more conservative pick like Magnus and Shadoways (despite the odds suggesting otherwise) but just feel Fast n Famous has the natural ability to challenge for the Salinger in 07. Redoutes Choice the sire + Broodmare out of Zabeel is as good a breeding as you will get.

Race 8 - Don't usually pick many favourites but Apache Cat is simply too well weighted against the main dangers.

Race 9 - Hardest race to pick for the day beyond the Diamond. I picked him last start and it let me down but El Man Goss if all is well can take this out. At 11-1 is definately worth this risk and probably bet of the day.

Sydney

More Than Lucky. Ever since picking it out in a trial havent won a cent on it despite it winning at 80-1 and placing at similar odds last start. 10-1 tommorow or thereabouts, might be a nice time to get started.

Hope ya make some dough tommorow fellas!

$100 to bet for a syndicate and not being a punter, what's the best way to get my money back today? Has to be in Melbourne. Cheers.

$50 each on Miss Finland and Haradasun for the win, would probably be the safest way to get your money back, although you'll only get around $145 back if they both win, so you may look for something with more odds, but those 2 are probably the best bets today as almost everyone has tipped them.

After doing my ratings the best bets look way too short so I'm taking Nash Rawiller in the jockey challenge. had $25 on him at $6.50 with a few big shows.

Finally have a sat off so will post anything else i go for as i go

See what you mean about aggressive riding.... Did well with the 6KG more than AMARAZETTI....

Happy with the 2.95 sportingbet top fluc also...

Conisten Gem aparantly ran a faster time (although slow out) than Haradasun for the distance. Just cant remember were i read that

Race 3 - Pluto Pup
Race 4 - Jujulio
Race 5 - Flaming
Race 6 - Husson Lightning
Race 7 - Sniper's Bullet
Race 8 - Spinner's Magic
Race 9 - Crosswise

I will be backing this horse today.... But only because its the one Bookmakers love to lay... LAst start got out to ridiculous 3.3 odds when shouldve been odds on, and even today in nearly out to the $4 quote.

6 - I like Press the Button. People seem to be forgetting it's only start as it was back in November when it beat it's stablemate easily and that horse is one of the faves.

9 - My old favourite Gunner Tom, at his pet trip of 1200m. Will also be taking Going Spending for the win. Should be flying home.

Cheltenham

2 - From what I've heard this Snip Esprit is a very pacy type. Trainer produces good 2yos.

7 - Hardly Ever will be at value odds and wil be in the finish. Could be a big day for the Macdonald stable.

8 - Sparkling Xaar is better than what she has shown.

Rosehill

9 - The Spit is talented and is way over the odds IMO
