No idea why you're so hell bent on Milligan playing right back, eth. Franjic has been fine.

Milligan for Bresciano is pretty much the only thing that needs to be done I think.
Looks like eth will get his wish.

The same cheating ref that didn't give Spira his second yellow?
The one that missed a high kick that he was a metre away from that cost Australia a yellow. The one that gave a yellow ****ing card for a bloke who was injured with a likely Achilles, but didn't do the same to a Korean who pulled up for cramping. The one that gave Australia 5 yellow cards to none for Korea. The one that gave more free kicks to Korea despite Australia having more possession and more successful tackles.

Yeah he was shithouse. You forgot the missed pen too mate.

He's not a cheat though. Just bloody incompetant.

With the treatment Australia's copped in the past 3 Asian Cup, I wouldn't put it past cheating.

The yellow card to Kruse was pathetic, and summed up the woeful refereeing. But I guess WGAF? #CHAMPIONSOFASIA :D:D:D

WSW Asian club champions, now Australia asian country champions.

A lot was made of Ange Postecoglu's first 18 months in charge but having stuck phat with largely the same squad, he (and the nation) are now reaping the rewards.

To be honest, we still have a plethora of players we haven't seen make a dent on the world stage yet. When they do, post Cahill (era) looks set to be an exciting one.

Just on the Asian Cup,

I was a bigger advocate of Mitch Langerak, the former Victory glove man.

When Matt Ryan went in goal at the World Cup and had a couple of shockers I was asking some serious questions of he and Ange.

To his credit, the 2014 Belgium goalkeeper of the year made some terrific saves and certainly proved some naysayers wrong. Myself included

As for the player of the tournament. Another questionable selection pre WC but he has grown in leaps and bounds from bench warmer to key playmaker. The attacking runs at the defence is something we haven't seen since the glory days of Archie IMHO.

It'll be good to see how we go in the Confederations Cup in 2017. We should be able to get over whoever wins the Oceanic division (probably New Zealand) and hopefully we can get over whoever wins the African Cup of Nations as well. The friendly against Germany in late March will also paint a picture.

And to think we haven't even seen Tom Rogic on the national stage. Possibly our brightest player along with De Silva and we could finally have some attacking power behind the striker.

Just on the striker. Anyone think much of Tomi Juric? Only cameos but surely there was enough to suggest the 23 could have an impact on the world stage?

Not sold on Nathan Burns as whippets around the box have been found out before (see Scott McDonald).

Burns was more impressive than Juric IMO, even though Juric set up the winner. The answer will be Eli Babalj. Tall, skillful, good in the air and has a menacing shot. Just went on loan to PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie from AZ Alkmaar.

Will be exciting times once Rogic and De Silva are playing regularly.

Good Melbourne Heart lad. ;)

With Leckie and De Silva on the wings and Luongo and Rogic playing through central midfield a striker to complement the side will be crucial.

What's Bablj like in the air though eth-dog? Australia have always enjoyed regular goals from an aerial threat.
