He's decent for A-League standard, but that and his strength are the area's holding him back.

Yeah, he can't really get a game with McCormack and Rodallega there, but has been scoring with the Under 23's consistently.
 
At what point in the exercise of common sense did Seb Ryall simulate? I suppose this is another example of the logic applied to Grosso: 'because we like footy and it's tough soccer players need to learn how to make themselves insubstantial to avoid body parts of their opponents'.

The Ryal incident, as was just pointed out on "The Offisders", is simply an example of terrible refereeing and nothing more.

Ryal is watching the ball, he doesn't know what is behind him and in the process of running into the penalty box he is tripped over. He appeals for a penalty. It's up to the umpire to make the correct decision. How is it any different to the cricketers appealing every time the ball strikes a batsman's pad or eludes his outside edge despite the fact that they either have no idea or know it's not out?

I suppose because I've never followed a local soccer league I've been protected from the stupidity that must affect the average soccer fan (in the same way it does in the AFL).

I also know there is no league wide vendetta, but I'd like to focus on one point.

Whether or not Barnes should have been carded for the ivanovic challenge, don't care, the handball, the Costa push. Ditto.

Even can accept the horror tackle on matic being missed and agree matic should go for the push. What agitated me is the FA chooses not to hand him a retrospective red card, reasons being 'the match ref is in best position and chose to take no action'

Then to add insult Atkinson has been demoted for his sub par performance.

So to be clear, they won't hand a red card because the ref didn't but have demoted the ref because he diseht know what he Is doing.

Perfect.

Matic will lose his appeal, so as per usual the butcher gets off Scot free.
