12 months ago I said a % over 100. Next year would like it over 120%, then we would be mixing it with the big boys. The defence tightens more and we kick a few more goals each week.

One thing that concerns me, is that we don't have any "force of nature" types who are impossible to defend when they turn it on, based on their physical attributes. There's only a handful of these in the league, but are the ultimate trump card in crunch time.

Perhaps Ollie Wines could become this, despite his lack of breakneck speed. Something up forward in this regard would be nice.

Anything can happen.

I thought our season was badly dented when Reddo was wiped out for the season and Lobbe just stepped up and has been phenomenal all on his own. So sometimes things don't go as we planned but work out really well anyway

I agree.
We did have a pretty good draw playing all the bottom sides twice.
Next Year our draw won't be so easy.
Hopefully we will be fitter.Have more pace and a key forward to kick some goals.
Don't be surprised if we slip back like Adelaide and west Coast because other sides have worked us out.
We played 2X top 6 sides, 1X 7-12 and 2X bottom 6 sides.

Geelong and Carlton finished the year as top 6 sides.
Adelaide in a fairly even group of 7-12 sides, and
GCS and GWS bottom 6 where GCS were clearly one of the better bottom 6 sides.

My expectation for 2014 is that the word EXPECTATION will be banned from the PAFC lexicon from this moment on or asap thereafter.

I don't really know Jack Schisen.
I just heard them say that on ABC radio Yesterday:confused:

I'm going to wait to see how hot this summer is and who wins this years Superbowl before making any bold predictions.
I almost feel sorry for the Cows imagine having this douche bag making speeches and trying to fire up your players on game day??? He couldn't motivate a starving man to eat. He is that bad

Yeah they've been going on about our soft draw all year but IMO that has come about mainly because we got to play Melbourne, GWS and GCS in our run of 5 wins out of 5 at the start of the year.

Top 8 will be a success, gotta back this year up

tredders said on triple m yesterday that burgo reckons he can improve there fitness again by 20% come next year. I'm not going to predict where we finish but i would just like them to keep there promise of never giving up so i never have to watch us lose 160-20 odd again
I've seen a 119 & 165 loss.:( Hope never to see a 200 loss unless Port is the winner.

Didn't the Crows get a better draw than us this year?

Yeah but he poked Rutten and then apologised for it so he's a pretty tough guy

Next year will be successful.

We've got the right people in place. Player confidence is high. Our sudden rise coupled with the Adelaide Oval move should yield better crowds and sponsorship.

Good vibes all round.

Our aims for the off-season should be to stay hungry, get fitter and improve the list. Get one KPP and one run and gun midfielder through trade/draft and we will be in the box seat for a good year.

EXPECTATION
As at their last Sunday of the 2012 AFL Season, Crows fans would have listed their Expectations for 2013 as follows:
1. Re-sign Kurt Tippett and watch him kick 50-100 goals;
2. Watch Taylor Walker kick 100 goals;
3. As a consequence of 1. & 2., win more games than 2012;
4. In the process, come from behind to beat Port Adelaide twice;
5. Go one kick better and play off in the Grand Final;
6. Have our CEO seen as the most competent in the competition.

Confucius say:
"The expectations of life depend upon diligence,
the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools. "

Less fadeouts.
Improved skills coming out of defence.

A tougher draw and a competition getting tighter.
Anywhere from 5th-12th.

Stick to our mantra. We'll never give up.

Realistically, I think it's going to be a big challenge to get back to 7th and if we could secure a home elim final I'd be ecstatic.

We're still another season away from becoming serious premiership contenders IMO, and everyone will be expecting us to come at them hard, no element of surprise any more. Plus we'll probably get a far harder draw, which is a good thing really as we'll be able to test ourselves against the best teams regularly instead of beating up on the bottom teams all the time which teaches us very little.

Want to see a marked improvement in our ball disposal and movement, better decision making and disposal under pressure, even better fitness and hopefully an ability to shut down games to prevent opponents scoring rapidly, as well as being able to wrestle back momentum and swing it our way again when everything is going against us. Plus we need to get our structure sorted out up front - hopefully Shaw comes on well, have big doubts about Butcher but if he proves me wrong I'll be happy. Next year is do or die for him.

And please no more repeats of the Dogs game in Darwin. Real top teams just don't let games like that slide.

Top 8 is a minimum requirement.

Another huge pre season. The players have had a taste of finals, that should fuel their hunger over the pre season.

Hit the ground running again next year. We will have a much tougher draw but we deserve to be challenged.

Bring it on!

It may not be totally realistic, but I'm hoping that we'll be pushing for top 4 but actually end up with a home elimination final.

Didn't the Crows get a better draw than us this year?
Port, Bulldogs, North, West Coast, Freo

2X Top 6 - Port and Freo (4 losses)
1X Middle 6 - North Melbourne (2 Wins)
2X Bottom 6 - West Coast and the Bulldogs. 2 Wins and 2 losses (1-1) + (1-1)

I expect that the players will strive to improve as they have done this year and they will achieve that again.

I expect that they will work damn hard and play for each other and their club.

I expect that they will learn to better execute the gameplan that the coaching staff have developed

What ladder position that equates to I don't know or care, as long as it puts us in the best position to grab our chance when our 'window' opens...whenever that may be.
