Losing Oh No GIF by Star Now

I mostly want to see a different gameplan, as well as the ruck and center square weak point starting to sort itself out. The sense of a coaching wheel turning. Even if it looks a bit nondescript at times like with Simmo during 2014.

Another semi-competitive year in the bottom 4 like 2024 will be tolerable, as long as player development is palpable. W/L aside, the worst is that sense of another wasted season, youth plateauing/injured and oldies carrying. Or a bad month slipping back into chronic uncompetitive. Also don’t want to see Chesser, Petch and particularly the MSD gems (which seem to be treated more expendably) continue to fall into selection/positional neglect and delist zone.

We have an extremely dangerous forward line, Allen, Waterman, Ryan, Williams, Owies, Cripps and Long will be more than a handful for any team they play.
Our challenge is increasing standards in all areas training, intensity, application, self respect in regards to standards, on and off field.
Off field coaching and staffing appointments will have a huge influence in improving standards.
I’m gonna back in huge improvements, a 20-30% improvement in our percentage.
7-8 wins for the year.

2nd last on the ladder is an absolute monty with Cornes to be throwing around that WC is "is no more", "has ceased to be", "is bereft of life", "now rests in peace" and "is an ex-parrot AFL club"

Will have pretty much everyone on earth coming at WC by years end as the Baker/Graham/Owies episode makes the Monty Python Flying Circus look like Singapore Airlines.

But the year will finish off a ripper when Pyke and Co discover a new definition of what "not selling the farm" means, plus the Hawks Hok Ball is spat out quicker than a spit from a Tennessee sheila named Hailey on a big night out and they finish 10th, with the Blues landing the holy grail (not the Monty one).

I'm expecting to finish bottom 4 right now, but once we're late in the pre-season where our first choice players have been dominating our second choice players in scratch matches I will expect us to crush our enemies, see them driven before us and hear the lamentation of their women like every year.

After our first pre season game against real opposition I'll be back to expecting bottom 4.

One top 3 pick despite 3 years in the bottom 3 will never cease to piss me off.

First rounders since we last played finals have been a real mixed bag. Chesser a dud, Ginbey a dud in the guts but looks alright as a defender, Hewett dead, Reid a star, Pick 12.

It hasn't been great.

Better luck late in the draft with Hough, Long (although he's been played as a small forward who doesn't kick goals...), King Waterman, Jack Williams etc.

A lot riding on Reid, Hewett's feet transplant being successful, Gov and Yeo staying fit and what a new coach can bring.

We might climb to 4th last.
We have bottled the last three drafts. We should have been exiting with three elite inside mids. Instead we have one plus a B grader in Ginbey.
