Just woke up to only having 58 minutes left to ake my pick after Gut Running had the pick overnight. Are we not allowing an overnight hold anymore?
Been discussed haha, never had one apparently (tender checked). Had a feeling you would just make it! Took your pick around this time yesterday

Ugh... 2 rucks was the worst. Stretched the talent way too thin with HOs being at a premium.

Happy to put a short hold over night to stretch out the picks if needed.

Didn't you draft in like 8 rucks in the first draft? and then trade them all out?

Played the first year of my cash league in 2011 and dominated on the back of Dean Cox in the ruck, David Hale forward and Stef Martin in the backline.

Yep I went ruck crazy on the back of that haha That said I was in a real shitty place the first few years of this comp (nearly quit this half a dozen times) so my list management wasn't exactly a highlight.

Far worse list now but a much clearer plan and build in what Im trying to get done.

They are still at a premium and all the good teams have two premium rucks and play them most of the time.
I know, I was just joking... Warriors likely to only play one this year, spots in the 22 will be at a premium.. hopefully a few of Daniher, Reid, Jenkins, McDonald, Watts, McGovern can add a few extra each game to tip the balance... against Richcogs and Rockford I might have to concede the Ruck if they decide to play two.. (and the mind games have started already :p)

Rucks are still super important. As late as this morning I have been talking to coaches about their ruck options and how I might be able to trade for them.

Even for 2nd stringers the price is pretty steep!

Because it makes sense as people sleep. Your pick wont be impacted as it comes up this morning and you have the option to think over your selection. flaps has not had that same opportunity. Realistic that he hit the sack at 1030 preparing for a big day at work. Hardly fair thathe was expected to wake up and rush a selection while the people today dont have to. Especially since we are coming to a point where u think about selections more deeply
My point exactly. Thank you.

If we voted for a stop of the counter between say 10pm and 8am, I would vote for that, no worries at all. It makes sense for the reasons outlined above...

... but I still think (given the rules that have always been in place) a coach has to be responsible once the draft starts to keep an eye on the draft, who is available, and to have ranked some players to auto-pick should the worst case scenario happen. I know that is harder for some, easier for others.. but that is just the nature of drafts.. luckily they usually only take a few days to complete!

I am just relieved that you made it in time, as no doubt there would have been a bit of an issue if you ended up with David Astbury - even as a Tigers supporter!

Tim Kelly is a great selection, I expect him to play most games for the Cats this year, and as a Cats fan will be watching his progress very closely!

Picking for position here really.

Have another target im pretty keen on but the make up of my team means I need to invest in a promising young back.

Reading the Pies board Murray appears to be a lock in their best 22 right now with many expecting he will take the majority of their rebounding run and carry. Im hoping that this translates into a long term HBF role and he can rack up the fantasy stats.

If anyone in the next few picks is happy to trade out I may be keen. Have a player I really do like still sitting there and would be open to discussion.
