It's probably been mentioned, but it bugs me so much in film and on TV.

A big inspirational speech is given to a huge crowd, who somehow all hear it no matter how far away they might be.

In reality, their message is only hitting the front 2 rows of so of soldiers.

Gladiator II, Game of Thrones etc.
