Not really. He would have brought the car home better than Sergio was. He wasn't a race winner anymore but they should have put him in Sergio's seat much earlier in the year and given Lawson the full year in the vcarb. Maybe he would have then been much better prepared not to fail.

Say what you like, it's the truth. The only reason he has a drive at VCARB (soon to be RB) is because Honda are insistent on his employment.

Max obviously set the target time but with no one else really there, it's probably a completely different feeling to trying to compete with others on the other side of the world.

Different kind of pressure I suppose, fuel loads etc.

Looks fun to drive. Managed to qualify 5th in Australia. Just shame the team itself manages the races so poorly
