Entertaining enough read of the season; forgot about Baku after the drama of Brazil, so yeh it was an exceptional win by Oscar

The last paragraph is on point…hope 2025 lives up to the anticipation

It rarely does, but in this instance i reckon we are in for a goodun

We used to have 16 race seasons and adding 50% more races sort of devalues winning a Grand Prix.

I don't think many will complain if we even trim it to say 20 and drop Miami, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia - but as usual the almighty dollar and petrostate influence always wins out.

Yeah just looking at the calendar it hits home how small the gap between seasons is. Think a bit more breathing space and time to build to the new season would be better.

Then you see something like 4 rounds in May and it’s too much. Nothing feels important because you move straight to the next race.

Races that are essential
Japan
Monaco
Canada
United Kingdom
Belgium
Italy (Monza)
USA (Austin)
Brazil

Races whilst not essential, are still worth having on the calendar
Australia
China
Bahrain
Austria
Hungary
Azerbaijan
Singapore
Mexico
USA (Las Vegas)

Races you could probably get rid of
Saudi Arabia
USA (Miami)
Italy (Imola)
Spain
Netherlands
Qatar
Abu Dhabi

Mexico and Spain could quite easily be flipped.

Driving position in a modern F1 car. Add to that the vision restricting halo. Martin Brundle always uses the comparison of ‘like sitting in a bathtub’.

Well there’s a reason most of us take showers. Heck I get pissed off when the service guy flecks around with my lumbar support.

I hate it when Lance Stroll cuts me off in the shower

How slow are you?

The rest of us are already showered, dried off and putting on the cologne before Lance even hits the shower, and even then his daddy has to get the water at the right temperature before he steps in.

Thank God Checo's gone though. He was always turning up late and in the fog mistaking the toilet for the shower and making a mess with the bidet.

The reason we have 4 F1 races in the Middle East in a season is the same reason we have (or will have) 2 FIFA World Cups in countries located right next to each other in the Middle East in just 12 years.

Yep, that's right, the weather's just about perfect for both outdoor sports
The qatar wc despite being scheduled for july ( hot summer in mid east ) got moved to dec ,,winter in mid east.

It stuffed up the european soccer season too

somehow think max would be very happy if lawson was the choice.
but LL will drive like a young Max - and stick his nose in places it shouldnt go as a Rookie driver. He will take Max out IMO before the mid point of the season bc as he says, he's here to race not make friends.

And I get the Alpha type A bullshit... but you also gotta know when and how to use it.

Tsunoda's future is an interesting one. He's inherently tied to Honda, who will be switching to Aston Martin. AM have Stroll & Alonso. Alonso is contracted for 2026, and Stroll is the ultimate nepo baby. However, Honda will be insistent that Tsunoda be given a seat. How this works out will make for interesting watching. Popcorn at the ready.

Alonso takes an early retirement surely assuming they don't punt Lance. Yuki will get a gig there

Hadjar is worthy of a seat imo

Eventually maybe but the back end of his f2 season said to me he's not ready for 2025 it's too early so he won't do much.
