Wouldn't have thought 2 TIB out of 18 and a 1 goal per game would warrant a senior game.
When Skinner got his first game there was no chance he deserved it. Djerrkura doesn't deserve games now, because he's shit, yet he's still getting them.

It's more to do with just seeing how he goes. I'll be disappointed if he gets delisted without getting a chance in the seniors. If he gets a shot and doesn't take it, so be it. No problems there.
But when everyone else is getting a chance, from good VFL form or not, surely you'd try a forward, of all people.

I don't follow.
sorry, worst cut & paste in BF history!

Pods kicked 49 in 2010, 52 last year. Averaged 2 tackles & 6 marks a game. This year he has been a key in keeping the second man up away from Hawkins. I don't think that he's been as bad as is being suggested.

Well he's Williamstown's leading goalkicker, the conditions have just been tough for Williamstown's forwards to really stand up.

Jones doesn't deserve a gig at all. Happy Skinner is gone, hope it's the last time I ever see him run around a footy field like a moron. The final piece of the shit puzzle is to get rid of DJ as well.

Happy with the ins thought Jones should have been in when we were playing Lake forward so that he wasn't the main target of the opposition, also happy to see Talia back thought the kid showed something in his first two games yes his kicking needs work but he looks like a good stopper. Would have liked to see grant given a go ahead of Dj just think he offers more

Not sure about the comparisons between panos and pods. Let's give pods some credit, he was kicking bags for years before he got a call up. I think the frustration on here re panos is more about the hypeand speculation over proven performance. In saying that, I agree that others have played ones without proven performance either. I'd be happy to see panos next week but think we may see him stay next year, seems to me that hill is in more strife, we've got plenty of his type on the list.

Re dj. I cannot for the life of me see the upside. Just wonder if he's being given games over others cos of his work rate, in a 'setting the example of what we're looking for' type of approach from the coaches to the likes of grant, jones, Sherman, vez. I.e. if you put in the effort you'll be rewarded no matter who you are. Surely this won't keep him on the 2013 list though.

Agree to a point, but Panos was upgraded from the Rookie list last season on the back of some strong performances and bags at VFL level, he had the form last year. Granted his Form this season hasn't been quite the same, but being played out of position (or not at all as he was "rested" a time or 2) will do that for you.
Reckon that the continual non selection may have caused the kid to drop his head a bit seeing others picked ahead of him on same or worse form.
All most here wanted was to see him have a shot,to see whether he could make it or not, or have an explanation why the kid wasn't picked. The non selection all year just doesn't seem to make sense.

Yeah good points, I don't disagree. I guess we'll get some clarity on what the coaches think come end of season.

By no means am I comparing Panos with Pods as such.

All I am saying is that this club has form in overlooking something staring it straight in the face - and given how shockingly inept our forward line has been all season, I cannot fathom why you wouldn't throw this fella in and see if he sinks or swims.

Particularly when you look at the calibre of some blokes who have received numerous call-ups.

Like I said, I'd be happy to see panos play next week but 'staring it straight in the face' is where we can agree to disagree.

Geelong:
OUTS - Scarlett & T. Hunt
INS - Guthrie & Smedts
SUB - Smedts

Western Bulldogs:
OUTS - Lake & JJ
INS - Grant & Skinner
SUB - Grant

Well...that's unfortunate.
Anybody got any info on the outs? Would love to know what's up, wanted to see much more of JJ and the loss of Lake is going to hurt big time. Going to have to put Roughead back on Hawkins I'd say. Unfortunate, I would've loved to see Roughy back in the forward line.
The loss of Scarlett and Hunt helps us, but...I can't see it having that much of an impact.
