Re: Cold Toast training methods

If Gold Coast had began in 1897 they would have no, zero, zip flags. How many Aussie Rules players lived in the Gold Coast area in 1897, none. St Kilda under the VFL rules had almost no chance & the one time it looked like we might they stole our drawing area & gifted Hawthorn the 1980's.

It would not have been until the formation of the AFL that Gold Coast would have had a chance, and then how did the Brisbane Bears go until they merged with a Melbourne Club.

The fact that the CEO of my AFL club agreed with the concessions at the time has no relevence to my being a fan. Indeed it would be a mythical fan who agreed with everything their clubs management has ever done.

So it took your team 90years to build up to an era of possible multiple premierships before it was stolen away?

How would StKilda of faired if they played there home games in Rosebud? Just going from memory but that's about 100km away from their home town similar to Brisbane playing on the Gold Coast.

The fact that 16 CEO's plus the head honchos at the AFL all agreed on the terms set with the concessions must mean it was the right decision. They wouldn't of agreed if it did not bring some form of benefit to each individual team and the game itself.

The fact all you could find to take piss of our club was the diet we had on a boot camp is pretty pathetic? Maybe StKilda should involve themselves in a similar styled camp, might learn some respect and discipline and save the club the embarrassment of being in the news every few months for various unwanted attention?

I thought the story was funny & I like lambs brains. The troll, well it is the bay.

A better reply from the Gold Coast fans would have been, "hell yes with all those Lambs Brains we are going to steamroller all over you".

St Kilda will always be in the news as the bad boys until they sue everybody who so much as hints that we are not the greatest thing ever. Note how other teams have had issues that are never blown up as much by the Melbourne media. St Kilda are the media's whipping boys & will be until we make them fear us.

Re: Gold Coast Suns Floods

You're an idiot in my opinion. People have died in those floods and many have lost their homes.

Really bad form.

Re: Gold Coast Suns Floods

**** off TMA you idiot. This is a proper disaster and you want to troll Gablett over it?

Why haven't they blamed Fevola?

I'm surprised Fevola name hasn't come out in the media papers blaming him for the floods in Queensland. His usually blamed for everything.

Re: Why haven't they blamed Fevola?

Crap use of good material.

As we speak, Fortitude Valley (the scene of Big Fev's Big Disaster) sinks gracefully under water.

How cruel it is. Poor Brendan. If only he'd got a gut full at home.

And yet, the Valley andFev were made for each other. Would be a gross derangement of propriety to keep them apart.

Best trolling idea ever

Imagine if someone signed up as the St Kilda School girl and started posting on the Saints board at bigfooty. The reaction of the supporters and dialogue would be hilarious I reckon.

U2, Bon Jovi kick in for re turfing Subi

Classic example of why footy needs to control their major grounds & not play 2nd fiddle to those keen to milk the money only AFL footy can provide:
PATERSONS Stadium, formerly known as Subiaco Oval, will be an even safer venue for AFL players in 2011 after it is re-turfed for the first time in 15 years, according to the ground's management.
Rated the third best playing surface by the AFL Players' Association in 2010, it will be further improved in a major project that will cost the stadium between $600,000 and $700,000.
The entire playing surface has been laser leveled and new turf will be laid this week.

WA's home of football, which was rebranded for the first time in its 102-year history last October, hosted a series of concerts through December.
Taylor said large-scale concerts by U2 and Bon Jovi were partly funding the project and similar events would go ahead in the future.
"The concerts obviously have a significant impact on the lawn," he said.
"As part of our concerts we budget for the replacement of the turf that's affected by that.

Lets hope SA does not go the way of the MCG getting involved with cricket & relying on the taxpayer kicking the can:
The State Government has allocated $30 million towards work on the GSS and $6 million towards the Yarra Park project.
These contributions further underline the importance of the MCG in the fabric of Victorian life.

The good old taxpayer pumping up the tyres of MCC members, after all, its the peoples ground, just that the people cant get a gig on the #1 day of the sporting year unlike the silvertails.
