The 'qooty factory' Bombers have returned their salary cap to nearly 100% after a couple of seasons where they've lost barely anyone to trades or termination. They've got one salary off their books in club stalwart, iDon.

The hallmark of the Bombers list is the proliferation of 'a' and 'b tier' players who command strong salaries. Skipper Pugsley gets tasty renumeration to be one of the higher paid players in the league. He's the only million dollar Bomber though with thirteen further teammates in the 450-950k region. This includes MayTheNorthBeWithU who only cost 450k to extract from the Wonders...unless the SMH headline from a few weeks ago was about MTNBWU, as an older sibling suggested to The Files.

The Bombers are on the verge of some salary relief with club legend and video enthusiast, KohPhi, fast approaching the 300 milestone. That may not be enough though as the Baghdad folk are always an active team in off seasons. It's probable the top end will be looking at wage cuts as the Bombers bring in their newest batch of recruits.

Last season's runners-up have an essentially full salary cap, falling a hint short of the 12 million maximum. They have one player on veteran rates with half Matera92's wages off their books.

It's a clever piece of accounting that the Bears have pulled to keep their salary cap in check as their list has more a's than a clever kid's school report card. Captain tony and the league's sexiest blonde in Dingster are both on an absolute steal with both worth far more on the open market. Another intrigue is that Art Vandelay_ is paid $100 less per season than frenemy (with benefits?) Matera92, a disclosure that is sure to see the switchboard of the Bears' HR Department light up.

The Bears have a highly regarded list with some, including this author, viewing it as the best balanced in the league. What is going to be a struggle is keeping the egos in check when it comes to contract time. Maybe tony will know some 'totes legit' mates who can organise some third-party ambassadorship deals for these players.

Unsurprisingly, the Warriors are spending over a quarter of their cap on their trio of beez medal specialists. From there, there are five further well paid players on 650-800k, although all could be considered victims of the salary squeeze (as could sophomore Ocha905 who is on less again). With a stable starting team, the Warriors also have eight players who have barely played these past few seasons and are thus on 105-110k which somewhat balances out the salaries of their top end.

With a full squad of thirty, recruiting action probably won't be a thing this offseason. The burning question is will they let go of a couple of 'c tier' players to enhance the salaries of some of their 'a/b tier' citizens?

I agree that Dingster and others are on absolute steals but for me at least, money isn’t everything. Granted I’m privileged enough to have a lucrative/rewarding non-qooty related qareer but there are many things money will never be able to buy.

I will also not reveal my boggart but will say that the memory used to conjure my patronus involves moments with my teammates

So honestly after a season at East Side , I was ready to come home to the point where I would’ve paid tony few hundred k for the chance, so I see it myself as getting 1m more than market value

In any case the cost of living has hit every club and yet tony has done everything to make every bit of our Cap count.
