The Ned moment that will live in my mind forever as the quintessential Ned moment was when Tex was about 20m out on an angle, well within his rights to have a ping, but instead tried to bring Ned into the game who was all by himself in the goal square. Tex speared an elite pass onto Ned's chest who, under no pressure whatsoever, dropped the mark and fumbled it over the goal line.
No issue with any of those delistings. For those saying that it's harsh on Hamill, we can always re-draft him if we don't think there are any better players available at our final pick. But I think it's time to move on from him. He'll always be injury-prone, and will always lack awareness. May as well roll the dice on somebody new.
Was it McHenry earlier this year who got the ball in our forward line and had something like ten options available to him, but hesitated about six times and ended up making the worst possible choice?

Ned McHenry. On his day was fantastic. Just didnt get enough games into him
he has to be, they never gave him any games. When he played he was great
Gollant is a good decision but I don’t think they gave Ned enough of a chance.

From a playing point of view I think they’ll all be quickly forgotten.
Hamill would be the unluckiest as I think he was the easily best footballer of the 4 delistings, but not quite the physical stature/hardness needed to control half back at AFL level. I think the other 3 were somewhat fortunate to have spent any time at all on an AFL list.
If these sort of duds were routinely turned over a bit earlier we might have scored a hit or too in the Rookie/MSD instead of seeking to recuit other teams hits for moderate draft capital.

Probably unfair, concussions did a number to Hamill which is out of the clubs control.

Pretty straightforward delistings this year. Surprised to see so many people shocked and upset with Neds departure.
I know he tries really hard, but it's pretty clear he is not up to AFL level football.
