Jumback42, I think your spot on, Sparks will have the boys even hungrier this year with the premiers advancing to the RFL.

Any word on the Charity Shield game? hopefully CAK made ammends for our dissapointing Draw/Defeat to GGGM.

good game from what i heard, gullie matched them for first half but gggm too big and physical for gullie's young and smaller blokes. Loss of weiner will hurt them big time, hopefully will haines will be right for the year but need at least one big and tough enforcer to be a complete side

Re: Farrer League

whats the latest with rivcoll will we only need 1 hand to count the number of games pav will play? and who else have they picked up? would be good to see a list of ins and outs from each club!

Re: Farrer League

Interesting results rnd 1. Marrar better than scoreboard, ran out of legs in 2nd half but looked ok in 1st. Missing a couple apparently get them in and get the blokes out who had to stretch their jumpers on and they might be ok by june. Gullie was good though. Interested to hear reviews of other games. Are rivcoll real deal or just tryc bogey side?

Re: Farrer League

Just chasing some info on a young guy named Dean Druce who played at Marrar last season. He has moved over Corowa way with work, and looks a good size.

Re: Farrer League

I not sure Id write off the EWK Hawks I heard nothing but wraps about the coach Chris Jackson, apparently there is a young group of RAAF lads that wont do the clubs final chances any harm. The big oil is that a lad named Taheny is silky skilled and will run out games the way he starts them. Another big pickup is Sinclair, apparently both these lads come from SA and have been together since Auskick, like winning and will lift standards. Time will tell and this weeks game against the Nth Jets will be a yard stick to see where the Hawks are at.:thumbsu:

Re: Farrer League

Nth showed a little bit for 1st half but lucky it was a wet track gullie would've rolled them by 20 goals if dry. Cooper? in ruck not bad and Quee handy if 10kgs lighter. Rained all day and the FF came of looking as though he had just come out of the shower.

Re: Farrer League

What a disgrace that he only cops 2 weeks for that. Should've been about 6.
Maybe next time he could have a go when the opponent is looking.

Re: Farrer League

good to see young benny absolum from Gullie in the sydney AFL squad to take on the VIC Amatures in melb also in the sydney u23s to play in wagga at the NSW Regional State Championships...would be good to c him line up against some ex team m8s

Re: Farrer League

Congratulations to Leroy Eggmolesse of Northern Jets and former Collingullie player Matt Lewington who were selected Ausltralia wide for the National Indigenous u23 Development Program. They will play in the curtain raiser match before Richmond V Bombers, the Dream time at the G game this Saturday. Good luck boys.

Re: Farrer League

after a long day for the jets it was good to see so many hang around at the gullie pub for a while. sign of a good club with good character. If at full strength they will push for a finals place, chris bell was outstanding

Re: Farrer League

What a difference 12 mths and a few wins can make. Dan Quee was sounding so positive in todays da and talking about playing finals, must be great for the club. Maybe some of the struggling rfl clubs should have a look at what it could do for their club. Give some of their juniors a go in ones rather than spending big$$$ on players who are over-rated or go home after a few weeks. The juniors who, if as good as what many of the rfl clubs talk them up to be, will make the transition to first grade in ffl and create a winning culture around the club. Then they might find themselves back in the rfl with a strong and loyal base around which to build a stong club. well done saints!!!!
