2. Teenage Fanclub

If ever there was a band that can sing harmonies like this band i would love to know. They are sensational. Make the Beach Boys and the Beatles look mere mortal.

Beatles were not a harmony band, but Teenage Fanclub are mere amateurs in harmonies when the greatest would have to be the Hollies.

Air that you breathe rings beautifully in harmonies. And if you listen closely, there are 3-5 part harmonies.

Bunsen - Angel likes the Spice Girls, get over it mate.

Some of the bands listed on here, I wouldn't cross the road to see, but doesn't mean I don't respect everyones opinion.

I think Billy Corgan has one of the worst singing voices going around, but I'm not gonna pay out on you for liking them, doesn't worry me either way.

We all like music/bands/singers/manufactured pop tarts that we know we shouldn't, it's just the way it goes.

And that's your opinion. You obviously dont like other opinons on the band, and congratulations, you shoot them down well. However they are other's opinions, I don't go around here saying that other bands are...as you put it, crap, because , as a musician I believe anyone that puts out a song, respect should be given to them...it's a hard task to do. If you are a musician surely you understand and appreciate vocal arrangements, which is what I appreciate of the Spice Girls...and if your not a musician, look it up.

As a musician of 27 years, I would not rate the Spice girls as musicians, they are vocalists. As for vocal arrangements, the Spice girls are truly lacking in artistic creativity. Simple things as ad-libbing are things they lack. Their harmonies suck, their voices do not compliment each others, and if you ever listened to Bryan Adams "When you're gone" Mel B or C is atrocious, she is not a vocalists toenail.

This is not knocking you or your taste, but just a point of view on why the spice girls should never be rated as a musical group.

Pink Floyd: The greatest in my book. These guys thought up such imaginative concept albums and music to suit it perfectly. Waters, Gilmour, Wright and Mason are gods to me. I have learnt almost every Pink Floyd song there is on guitar/bass. I am a Floyd tragic, nuff said.

Beatles: Pacesetters in the 60's, other bands tried to emulate them, others wished they were them and failed. Rubber soul was the defining moment in 60's rock, which paved the way for bands in the future. Most bands today still rate the Beatles as influences.
Harrison I thought was the better writer of music in the last half of the Beatles time.

Church: Unguarded moment is one of my favourite songs. Under the milky way, and Almost with you are classics. This band along with Floyd are a band where I can feel the music rather than just hear it. The best songs are the ones with 12 string guitars.

Guns N Roses: Good hard kick ass band. Sweet Child is a great song to play and get into for just raw pure rock without the bull$hit. Illusions 1&2 are among my best albums.

Rod Stewart: Don't laugh, I hate the guy, but some of his music long before his "sexy period" in '79 was his best. I stopped listening to him after that, the music went downhill along with his pathetic image. Great acoustic music with a good feel in the "foot loose" album and "tonight's the night". One song I do love though is his time with the faces and Ronnie Wood. Stay with me is a great blues rock song. Classic stuff.

AngelSpice claims to be a musician and rates the spice girls as talented rather than the marketing ploy that they were. We're on an Internet forum where people are discussing their favourite bands etc. For some reason you don't think it should be interactive? So politely go f*** yourself.

Yet at the same time it helped make the Pumpkins instantly recognisable. It also helped that Billy could right a damn good song.

1. Blink 182
2. Queen
3. 28 Days
___________

At the moment I'm loving AFI, Gyroscope, New Found Glory, The Used and a few others, but that'll probably change soon enough.

Exactly right, and 'Tonight' still ranks as one of my favourite songs.

And also at the same time, I've listed GNR as one of my top 5 bands, and I can guarantee some will admit to hating Axl's voice. Just hits a note (no pun intended) with me, and that's what music is all about.

At the moment:

Even
Supergrass
Ice Cream Hands
The Clash
The Triffids

Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Bob Dylan
Pearl Jam
Nirvana
Alice In Chains
John Lee Hooker
and plenty more depending on my mood.

I've gone so far in the past as to name Billy Corgan the best songwriter of the 90's, up to and including Melon Chollie.

Its my belief that while touring and promoting this albumn Billy's EGO got the better of him and his songwriting suffered:(

There's been a few gems since and I liked two or three Zwan songs.. but he's niot been the same since around 95/96.

While on the subject, is it just me or does anyone else think that Billy Corgan not only produced but also wrote Malibu by Courtney Love?

The riff and melodies in that song have his name written all over them.

EDIT: (and yeah im aware that courtney and billy were 'friends' well before kurt came along)

LMAO.
merely confirmed my initial thoughts. You have NFI about heavy music, or music in general for that matter.
