Fevola Arrested?

Mickey i know what you mean about addiction and the like. I think many of us tread the fine line with alcohol and we don't realise the hold it has on us. A regular drinker like myself really struggles to go 5 days without a drink. Something i am trying to correct!:D

I think this needs to be discussed further.

Why is it that you feel this way? How do you feel when you drink and how do you feel when you have not had a drink for some considerable time?

I'll do it Mr 666 confirmed it though I'll get my mate's missus to write it out for me so you can all understand it.

My first response was incredibly funny but probably not very fair considering alcoholism isn't really a laughing matter.

Seriously i think drinking has become a massive form of escapism, with the pressures and responsibilities of having a young family, job, study, housework, bigfooty posting and bills drinking provides relaxation. Easy to see how it becomes a sickness. I am trying to replace an afternoon beer with an afternoon play at the park. So far so good:D

My tip is to develop some sort of illness that requires you to give up drinking. Worked wonders for me! OK, sure I don't have a gall bladder anymore, but I haven't been seriously drunk since the age of 22!!! Would love to calculate how much money I've saved over the years.

Ok Nino. I think time is up for our session today. Would you like to make a rebooking?

Are you a chick stocka? Your posting tones are very feminine:D

What are your drinking habits stocka? A chardy or a breezer:D:thumbsu:

TFB, sounds extreme! But you are right the cash you have saved would be enormous.

Does it bother you to have a female in a position of support? If so we can always arrange for someone else to take over my duties.

We are not here to discuss my personal habits, Nino.

Don't think I have an addictive personality at all. Like Belgo, I have a pretty good dought of "drunkenness". Haven't been blind drunk since a work xmas party back in London over 5 years ago now.

Can have a week watching cricket and polishing off a case or two of beer and then happily go a month without a drink.

Having been a social/moderate drinker for over twenty five years, I decided to stop drinking alcohol to assist in the last of a decade long line of attempts to finally stop smoking. As it turns out, I haven't had a cigarette in four years and I also have not had a single drink in the same time.

I had a real problem with the cigarettes and giving them away was the best thing I ever did. As for not drinking, I really don't miss it at all. In retrospect, outside social contexts, I can see how there were times when I used alcohol to self medicate when I was stressed (some people call it letting off steam), rather than dealing with things in a more healthy and sustainable way. That's the trap with alcohol and it is one that has caught plenty of people and screwed up countless lives.

Giving alcohol away was simply a matter of dropping something out of my life that I decided I didn't really need. Long story short, I have probably never been healthier or fitter. Each to their own, but it works for me.

Date on that article is december 12. Last year.

Also... the article doesn't say he is 320k in the hole.

He still owes 200K...

Did Brisbane and Voss do their due diligence when recruiting this bloke?

As a footballer, when on, he is amazing. But there was so much stuff going around about his personal life in Melbourne, that you could just about tell when he was going to have a shocker.

For what it's worth, it maybe in Brisbane's best interest to severe all ties with Fev.

Hypothetically, who was worse for the club? Aka or Fev????

You really aren't adding anything new of value to the thread.

The main board Fevola threads may be more to your liking.
