It is a bit like the scribbles of Nostradamus ...it makes no sense now but in 150 years time when this database is recovered, there will be e-books and holographic mini-series based on how I predicted the rise and fall of the Indonesian world empire, the 2034 metor scare and most amazingly the discovery of Alpha Omega-237.

yeh we are, sorry.. bit caught up with other stuff!

Turns out we don't even have 16 people who want to join a FFC super league.. so we'll just go for the 3 normal leagues. Most people that responded were middle of the range anyway, except for a few exceptions. So we can use this year as a ranking year in order to get into next years top gun team.

We have 2 full dream team leagues, so here is a code for a 3rd. 844735

So... I'm thinking of trying my hand at these things. I haven't done either before and I'm unsure about the level of commitment involved. How many hours p/wk? Do you have to have a pc handy close to game times to swap any last minute withdrawals? Pros? Cons?

I am also unclear about the 3 different leagues. Are teams only competing against those in their league, or the other two as well? If it's the former, is the 3rd league the one for newbies? And are the 3 leagues in direct competition with each other?

If time was an issue, you could still be very competitive just by spending half an hour each week on your teams on a Friday afternoon, checking that everyone in your team is playing in that week and occasionally making trades (you only get 20 of them in a season).

Websites like tooserious.com.au now make it very quick and easy to identify which players are the best players to trade into and out of your side, so all the time consuming work is now done for you.

Both games are a lot of fun and add another element of fun when watching the footy.

It does take time if you want to do well.
You need to be able to trade out injured players so internet access is handy (save your trades till Friday morning when the teams are finalised).
Each league is seperate but cudos to whoever has the highest score across the board.

The leagues are seperate, but I'm in all leagues so I'll be producing an overall ladder based on total points each round, that is what will be used for next years rankings.

Oh and I will be entering one of each of our leagues in the big boy comp. Probably flip a coin to decide or see which ones hold the majority of our best players based on my prior survey.
