AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
There is no "Update Files" option so I can't really help you if you're not describing the problem exactly. As RBW 007 has said, try to IMPORT the file, not OPEN the file. If you choose the OPEN option then it won't show ffz files so I'm guessing that's what you're trying to do.
I think your OS is being too smart for you. (I'm guessing you have Windows and you have the option of known file extensions being turned off in your Windows Explorer?) The file is a gunzip (gz) file except I have named it as a ffz so I can distinguish my files from normal gz files. It's obviously being named DT-R1.ffz.gz in your file system, you have to rename it to DT-R1.ffz Anothe options is to use Winzip or some other zip program to extract the file that is contained in the gz file and then use import on that file.alright heres what im doing, i will give it one more try if its that good btw first time user maybe i shoulda said that earlier
Open FF Genie
File-New-aflDream team
thats all good
Import stats from file (under the big afl.com.au dreamteam writing)
go to the containing folder, where the file does not appear even though it is ffz, so when i change it to import files from all file types it appears and i click on it, then i get the error message.
other way was through 'Actions'-Import stats from file, btw file name is
DT-R1.ffz and when i click on it, when the file name appears in the 'File name' box next to the 'Open' button it appears as DT-R1.ffz.gz dunno why the gz is there coz it doesnt appear there when normally browsing through through my files. and the same thing happens for both ways of importing the file not just the second with the whole .gz thing
That is all sorry for the big message, but the whole time i have been trying to import the file
Try and download the file again, or get someone to send it to you.to get the error i do the following:
1. file new
2. select supercoach (R0 data loads fine)
3. select Import from file, and select the file --> then i get the error:
Import Error
Unknown VS game type = 2010
There is a tutorial on the FFGenie website.I would love to be able to use this program but i have no idea how to use it.
Im going to click on FFGenie 2010.1
Click Run FF Genie
Click okay to launch
Click run
Now i have a blank screen up
So i went File>New>clicked OK to Dream Team
Now it comes up with all the adelaide players.
Where do i go from here? do i make my team on here?
There should be a item in your Start menu or on your desktop. (assuming Windows)
FFGenie, it shows up on my Vista machine. Otherwise, you probably have to start from the website link. Don't worry, it only downloads when there's a new file available, it should start from your local cache.under what name? I've tried it on two computers. Win Vista and Win 7....can't find it
Try and download the file again, or get someone to send it to you.
I don't get what is "SC-R1.ffz/DT-R1.ffz"
It sounds like what you've downloaded isn't correct. How big is the file? It should be about 8kb.
Those file names are the bolded, I downloaded them using that link. Both files are 108kb once they've been unzipped, the zipped files as you said are around 8kb.You can download round 1 files from here
afl.com.au Dream Team - http://www.freewebs.com/ffgenie/stats/2010/DT/DT-R1.ffz
Super Coach - http://www.freewebs.com/ffgenie/stats/2010/SC/SC-R1.ffz
So do i click import stats from file or import stats from website or both?
