Yeah I really don't get not having a back up GK.

Unless you fudge the settings and have unlimited subs, surely it's just best to keep a GK in reserve just in case something happens? I don't think I've ever really had my GK get injured or sent off, but what if it did happen when I was 2-0 at HT? Going to restart and risk losing just because you didn't (for whatever reason) want a GK on your bench?

Surely all your bench players aren't THAT special that anyone could come in at any time in your matches, and if it is, why aren't you funnelling that into your starting 11 to make it better instead?
 
Shit, Real Betis has offered me 1.2mil for Broich. I declined 4 times, and now they're offering me 3mil. I dunno whether to take it or not, my defense will be missing a key defender but for 3mil I could buy a new one, whether or not I will find one is the question.

Such a hard trade to pick haha.
 
I'm 2-4-2 (w-d-l) after 8 games online. Need two more points in my next two games to go to divison 9. A couple of laggy games can really hurt your chances.

That prett much sums it up, especially the last paragraph.

I use my bench pretty actively. I generally use my three subs (always use them if it's a cup match to keep the side fresh for the regular season) and give my youth a chance to develop when I want to give my big-name players a rest. The way I see it, it's:

Starting 11 - best available players.
Bench - second best, ready to take over from the fatigued bests.
Replacements for injuries/rests - youngest players with the highest overall.

Very basic, yet very handy.
 
I'm thinking of starting a UT thread for those that are interested in wheeling and dealing, as well as peddling their wares. It would work by people posting their console and players they are willing to trade so that others can check them out and make offers via. the thread.

Each poster would put up their lists along with information on each player such as overall, prefered formation, type of card etc.

Sound good?

Doesn't the 360 version this year have Kinect support? Or is that for next year (or not for this specific EA Sports title?).

Anyone that has Kinect given it a go? Would be interested to see/hear the implementation.

Played about 1/4 of a season so far as arsenal. I dunno why but Ive played Swansea twice and they always give me trouble. Scores were 3-2 and 1-0. Their low crosses kill me. Any ideas?

Also picked up some other decent youngsters, but cant make squad at this stage. Sakho is a good player if your looking for a good young CB. He plays for PSG. Good in the air and pretty quick.

Anyone else playing as Arsenal think 5 stars is too high considering their squad?

Also, anyone played as Bayern yet? They are godly.
 
My silver brasil team almost has the starting 11 finished, 77 chemistry with 8 players.

gold england team only has milner, walcott, walker and downing but it's a good start. no way in hell will i be able to get rooney. anybody got good suggestions? carroll, defoe, bent? Need 2-3 strikers and they seem to be the stand outs
 
I get caught out a lot on the break and my defenders are just too slow, Eg Distin, Heitinga any ideas for quicker Centre halves ? Got a nice one coming through in Mustafi but hes just not ready yet ?

Won my first 2 games fair and square then played someone who went keeper for 90 minutes lost

It's funny you mention that. I played a bit online last night and was bored shitless by the antics of online players. I actually enjoy playing against the AI this season - very unpredictable, unlike last year.

agbonhalor from aston villa - best underrated striker in every fifa, not sure how much he is though

Ive got a brazil silver team aswell, only got like 6 or 7 player, i love using my a-league bronze team, only lost one game so far in extra time against a Npower championship silver team which had like the quickest silvers in the game, lose 4-3 in the dying minutes
 
Sorry if this is an annoying question, but is Ultimate Team easy to explain or do you really need to experience it to be able to understand it?

If so, would be very helpful if someone could give a quick rundown.

I started very shortly before FIFA 12 was released and have a pretty good grasp of it.

YouTube really helps. :thumbsu:
