Why? Thats pretty realistic.

What players were you going after?

Its not realistic at all, basically cant even get any decent player in the EPL.

Galatasaray have gotten decent EPL players before Elano, Cana, Eboue, Elmander etc but in FIFA they wont come even with big wages on offer.

Maybe that changes in the 2nd season with Europe on offer though, I didn't bother with Gala after no one signed in the first season.

A few random changes I thought they should make/introduce...

- Go back to the 2003 or 2004 free kick setup. It was challenging but at least you had a chance of scoring from it.
- The manager part of career mode when playing as a player needs a serious clean up. Tactic changes, resting your player, activity in the transfer market etc.
- Have a more interactive transfer system when playing player career. So clubs might email you in April or May asking if you're interested in a move and you can say "meet up" "decline" or tell them to talk to your current club first. Stuff like would make the game heaps better.
- Allowing your VP to play in a variety of positions. My VP is a LM and a LW but you can drop him into LB, CAM or CM and he'll still do a good job. But he doesn't get a gig in the Victory squad because their formation is 5-3-2 (no LM or LW) and the manager doesn't pick me. Should be able to add that to your VP profile.
- The captain should be given more manager-like roles. So he gets a say in some of the tactics or which players the club should bring in. For example the manager could go to the captain with four options and tell you to pick two you would like.

I don't get why people would complain about the manager mode. Manager mode is only for taking control of your favourite team and stacking them with stars and winning every trophy.

It's never going to be to the level of Football Manager. If you want to be a manger, play Football Manager, because once you play that you'll laugh at the fact Fifa has a management mode (let alone a separate FIFA manager series).

I guess I've been spoiled with playing FM I don't take FIFA's manager mode seriously enough to care about it. It's without saying it could be a lot better though, there's always serious flaws in every edition.

I don't expect FIFA's CM to be anywhere near as good as FM, because like you say, if I want a managerial game, I'll play FM.

I just want to be able to play a few seasons without getting completely shitted off at how ridiculously crap it is.

The "Play FM if you want a good manager mode" reply is getting tiresome.

I want to actually play the game not manage it like FM.

Reason for me is this:

As a Fifa fanboy I simply want more from the brand. I don't want FM at all, I just want more from my Fifa game. There are so many possibilities that could take this game to the next level of generational sports games.

Sadly, EA don't seem to be listening too hard. And that's a shame.

I dont mind manager mode on FIFA, I suppose the main points I think they could improve on are:

* I want my young players to improve, if I send Sammy Ameobie or Thomas Kadar out to Notts or Southampton and they play well I want to see improvement in ratings

* players need to have some for of personality! We all know if Lucas Neill was offered 5mill a season to come home he would have, some players are all about money and that needs to be reflected in transfers. Fenerbache should be able to buy top line players if money is the key point for a footballer.

I hope they improve prize money for wining cups/or final appearances etc.. and league promotions...I love playing with Bradford and working towards the EPL, but it gets hard with no cash...but I think the return of scouting will help out a little

How do you have trouble with free kicks? I score probably 8/10.

JB usually release new games at $89.

It's $100 this year :( Will probably be cheaper at KMart/Big W though.

Yeah FM is great. FIFA's manager has always been poor. I remember once I tried to buy Cech (with Arsenal), and he rejected my offer and went to Rennes. Like seriously. I usually get bored of it after a season or two and just stick to friendlies etc. FM is where the real manager business is at ;)

Player contracts and list management was just too easy in FIFA.

I don't want Manager Mode to be too in depth because it can take away from the fun. But it just needs to grow a little bit.

If i'm Wigan and I get relegated, clubs should bid for all my decent players. And if I don't want to sell, the player should put in a transfer request and explain that he wants to remain in the top division.

If i'm Aston Villa and not winning trophies but Gabriel Agbonlahor dominates 3 EPL seasons in a row and tops the goal scoring, big clubs should start bidding for him and eventually, he should want to leave. It makes it very hard to win a trophies with smaller clubs, but that's realistic.

Players need to develop & made up players need to become good. I'm in my 8th season and there is not 1 'made up' player with a rating of over 75.

The biggest problem for me with FIFA manager mode is the oppostion managers. I play FM and I know not to expect all the little aspects of management to be there like SI have managed to incorporate these days but the way your oppostion lines up is my biggest gripe.

What's the point other clubs signing players and never using them in their starting XI (i know there is the odd time though do) and the main one SQUAD ROTATION. It's non-existent outside of injuries and suspension. I'm sick of playing a team 3 or 4 times a season and coming up against the exact same starting XI

Also just remembered there seemed to be a problem with getting the same teams drawn to you in cup competitions. I remember always copping Southampton then QPR then Man United for some reason

FIFA 07 was like this. I remember playing a season with Hamburg and parted ways with van der Vaart going to Man United for 67 million pounds. They just kept badgering me and how could I say no to that sort of money, even if he was my best player?

Last time I pre-orded from ozgameshop, it took around two weeks for the game to arrive. Hopefully it's quicker for you though :thumbsu:
Same here. They're cheap, but unless it's an older game and not a new release, I won't be buying from them.

Should have bought it from Game Lane. They're only about five or ten bucks more and send it two days before the release date so it's on your doorstep on the morning for release. :thumbsu:

Let's home that's not the case :-S
Got me worried now

Been 3 weeks+ and my friend hasn't got a NDS game.

Basically if you don't want to wait then don't get it from ozgameshop because you don't know how long they will take.
