I'm really not sure about this year's "upgrades". Even the crap they've put in the last couple of years sounded better than these. The impact engine will almost certainly completely bug ridden, and I can just imagine players flying everywhere and dozens of injuries a game.

I dunno, the demo will have to sell me. In saying that, the FIFA 11 demo was better than the FIFA 11 game.
 
a few things I want:

1) Player growth improved/fixed, and perhaps a player training system
2) Club management overhaul...needs refreshing
3) return the scouting
4) reserves for the big leagues...sick of having good depth but no way to develop my youth.

Im actually pretty happy with the playing dynamics...wouldnt mind changes to outside the box free kicks, but I think I just suck at them
 
In conclusion: They're going to give us the same shit with new roster updates and we're going to buy it.

Demo's going to have to sell me as well, even though I say this every year and have always bought it.
 
I want to see better defending, and not cheaper defending.

The AI defense was pushed up to a level where it will predict 90% of what you're going to do, this was in order to make FIFA less acradey and harder to score. It's not good game design, improve the AI to the level where it's realistic, not cheating. Basically in an attempt to make scorelines and scoring rates more realistic they sacrificed realistic defending because they couldn't make AI good enough.
 
I know they won't do it but I'd like to get the FIFA 2004 free kick system back. You place your target, set your power and try and time the accuracy. If you got it spot on, you scored. If you ****ed up, you didn't. None of this unpredictable bull dust.

It's weird that there is a lot of boasting in the presses about the new features this year.

But constantly they are pushing those 3 new features.

The only thing I'm really genuinely liking is that there was something in one of the hands on I'd seen that said pace could be dictated a lot better than last year. Hopefully this means that the game will speed up to levels like FIFA World Cup pace which was absolutely perfect.

Yeah, Legendary gets ridiculous like that in that you really just can't ever put a long pass in because they've predicted it.

Even a ridiculous play that nothing and nobody could predict...would be predicted.

It's annoying having the cheap, know your button press predictive AI.

X is the standing tackle, a lot less likely to give away a free kick. Although you don't have the same reach.
 
From all articles I've read EA have shown no indication that they have set out to solve the real issues with this franchise. Coaching? Nothing. Career Mode? Nothing. Random bullshit AI issues? Nothing.

I hate to sound like a broken record but truly, FIFA needs an overhaul of epic proportion. There's so much to be fixed it's ridiculous. As a fan of soccer I want a FIFA game that doesn't make me want to throw my controller through my TV screen.

I've subsequently given the game away and am enjoying other game mediums as a result, so ultimately the game being bad has assisted in broadening my gaming.

All in all I won't be buying it and I'd urge you all to wait for the reviews when they arrive.

For the 24 packs, yes.

But JB will be giving a 3 month subscription to Inside Sports Magazine as well as 18 Gold Packs.

18 Gold Packs = 3 gold packs per month, for 6 months. Each pack is a mix of 12 items, including players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, balls, kits, and badges. Gold Packs consist of players rated 75+ in-game, and include one rare item. Rare items include enhanced player attributes, longer contracts, and the most coveted players.

Would like to see:

-Crowd chants being in the FIFA11/PS Store so they are easy to download and good quality.
-Manager Mode being overhauled (most would agree)
-Goalkeepers being as good as rating suggests, in 11 Castillas is hardly better than a 75 goalkeeper.

Oh, and someone other than Kaka being the featured player. He's not even that good!
 
If they don't get rid of or tweak the "I've been playing for this club for to long my loyalty is to strong etc" with the transfers I'm going to lose it. I'm in the later stages of a career mode and can't sign anyone of quality due to this.
