I think the Canberra members are pretty solid and probably expanding. I would expect the Manuka games to go well this year.

We get a fancy-pants under-lights game this year too which has a bit of buzz going.

It really is a sad state of afairs when "oval lights" in 2013 are a cause for celebration....

Was that not just last year?

Last year = always.

Wait.. why?

Because Richmond will have a membership increase of more than 10% over that period while Hawthorn will gain no new members. o_O

Essendon has had their family day yet. Expect numbers to get a significant boost both then and when the season proper starts. 50k definitely within reach, which is fantastic given the circumstances.

Maybe we should sign an Etihad reserved seat deal so we can get more profit like you guys
Why? Being at Etihad severly reduces the amount of members we can have. If it wasn't for us being at Eithad we'd probably have a lot more members than we do now.

How many do you think the family days deliver these days though? some on our board talked it up a lot, but in the end it was around 340. Some are speculating the era of reserved seats and auto-renewals is meaning fewer and fewer see family day as sign up day (as they tend to be rusted on supporters)

anyone who denies Etihad is reducing your membership numbers because of lack of game access is an idiot. I know mates who have stopped buying one because they cannot get into the main games they want to go to anymore.

Family day has a flow on effect. Numbers increase on the day and afterwards as families who attended discuss and then purchase memberships. Definitely not the 2k jump as they used to be, but they are significant.

Great news, funny thing is the NRL is crowing about souths 20k. Yet the Swans are well out in front in the east and the Giants are as well in the west (Penrith and Wests barely have 4k)
The NRL set such low standards. Well done to the Swans and GWS for their efforts so far.

Swans members email today says Sydney has reached 28000 members.
Should be able to get well over 30,000 once the season starts.

I wonder if the reduced capacity of the SCG will have any impact on Swans memberships?

Why.. do Tigers fans love seeing another year of dissapointment live?

This is unfair.

Do NOT classify us as 'Tiger fans' when it's just MadTiger making slightly delusional membership predictions.

Hawthorn need some passionate supporters like MadTiger; you might get some bigger attendances when you're spaghetti wriggling supporters have to endure two losses in a row (or something similar).

We do just fine, thanks

That and the fact that our 'fans' don't have delusions of grandeur...

I'm not classifying all Tigers fans on one but if so he says, 6k of Tigers fans signup after the season starts that's a large part of your membership numbers.

Hawthorn has very passionate supporters. That is why we aren't the Melbourne Hawks.
