I’d be nervous if I was a senior player today. These kids are coming for their necks
That’s how you improve and lift your standards at a club. Brown very good and KMac2 looking like a genuine A grader. Second half of season May keep me from abandoning Victoria to Tasmania. lol. 😂

Really enjoying this game. So much to like.
Trezise and Brown look ready whenever an opportunity opens up.
Lefau - the surprise is how good he is in the ruck - thought he'd be a Grigg/Picket type fill-in but he's well and truly holding his own there, then so quick at ground level afterwards.
Steely and Coulthard the typical small forwards where you don't see or notice them for long periods, but Judson Clark is very noticable.

Can I be honest? I did a complete 180 on our youth this preseason. I thought they were an average bunch last year, but this whole preseason they’ve impressed.

Brown, Trezise, McAuliffe, Banks, Clarke, Green, Campbell, Smith, and Coulthard all had their outstanding moments in this year’s preseason games. Although not young, but even our SSP recruit Lefau is doing well. I’m not even including Cumberland and Bauer because they already showed what they can do.

Of course, I’m not jumping the gun and locking them all for AA just yet, but I see potential in all of them. Maybe it’s rose-coloured glasses lol, but they don’t look as bad as what some non-Richmond fans claim. It’s just easy to claim that the dynasty team has bad youth without watching much of them.

Lets not get too ahead of ourselves here, right. Carlton have been abysmal, so if you're locking players away based on this performance, you might need to see them up against a better side first.

What’s up with Carlton’s VFL side? They’ve been pretty ordinary this whole preseason

Their senior side has a few injuries too

I almost feel like players like Brown, Trezise, Clarke & Lefau would benefit from playing in the AFL tonight the experience big crowd versus top 4 contender.
I think in isolation you are on the money but when we are talking about potentially throwing them all in we would be taking a lot of experience out of our side in one go and probably almost setting them (and the team) up to fail

Think almost all of them will be best 22 by the end of the year but it’s going to be a matter of easing them into the side slowly to help the transition

They were never going to come in with Nank, Dusty & Lynch coming back but after the team settles a bit I would def bring them in. no benefit to having them in the VFL anymore.

We need games into them.
And need to phase out guys like Grimes, McIntosh & Pickett we have the like for likes. no excuses. I actually agree with what Kane Cornes said on Footy Classified because us Tiges supporters have been saying for a while. but I do think he was harsh on Broad.
