There's a feature in another board I visit that uses vBulletin that I thought was quite handy, if you leave your mouse pointer over a topic for a few seconds, a tooltip appears that has the first couple of lines of the first post in it. I wonder if it could be incorporated here as well?

I agree, remember back in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 when the admins paid to run the site so everyone could use it for free. Please remember that there are people behind this site and they are trying to offer you the best service at the best (or in most cases no) price.
