With Essendon winning on the weekend, and playing Freo this weekend, you'd think they've done enough to secure 8th spot (even with the injuries).
A little disappointed Bock and Ryder have been ruled out, makes some of the less obvious selections a little more desirable.

I'm in (along with 118 others) as Kids and Crocks. I see positions are being randomly adjusted when a new team joins. How are we going to work out the final 16? And what are we going to do with the others?
Theres no fixtures or playing against other teams. The league will just stay as it is with 118 teams ranked by score.

The only other teams with rucks you are better off picking others in diff positions

Scores are the same for the first week, doubled the next week, tripled the week afrer and quadrupled on GF day if it's done the same as last year.
There will be many many generic teams but they won't win.
Because there are far fewer selections available I suggest the winner will have jagged a really unique player in the last or second last week who scores out of his skin.
It would be better if trades were limited to the number of players dropping out of your team due to their team being eliminated.

I kind of agree with you on the first comment, but I think you nailed it on your second one. All you need is one or two "unique" picks to come off, but if you swing to the other extreme and choose a bunch of hacks then in the end you'll probably fare worse than the generic teams.
Nothing wrong with being fairly generic in this competition, all it takes is one or two correct picks. After all, the generic picks are generic for a reason
Picking the guns like Swan and Ablett is obviously very easy for this. The two things you have to consider if you want to win are unique players and spreading players from a team well around your ground.
If you can pick the Scott Stevens of '09 then you'll be doing well. However, don't try too many smokies like I did last year, or it will end up costing you.

You can join your team in up to three leagues, same as the regular DT season.
Having more than one team is against the rules of the comp, but there isn't much stopping you if you really want to.
the backs are where i am struggling. most players have terrible form against their opponent.
what are people's thoughts on ashley mcgrath. terrible form against carlton but in great form lately and with drummond and adcock out he seems to be playing a more offensive role with 96 and 113 in last two games. doubt i will get him though.

At least Ottens is playing now, locking him in alongside Mitch Clark.
