I think Brad Fisher is the next big thing round Carlton he impressed heaps with his stunning return to AFL after a knee reconstruction. He can take a contested mark and also get a couple of goals as well!!
If he bulks up a bit more and has a injury free season in 2006 he will awesome

Sam Fisher is the next big thing!! nah but your fisher does have potential and seems he can become a good player

From memory Jarrad Waite did ok without Fev against the Hawks earlier in the year.
good memory, i was going to raise the same point.

IMO we will have more options/variety in the fwd line without fev
fisher, waite, betts, lance, longmuir, rotating onballers

I hope we keep Fev. He just had a bad year in which he still managed 49 goals in 19 games. As much as i like fisher and waite i reckon there 40 goal a season max each and not our main target. Even when fevb plays ******** he still takes the best backman out of play at least. We should keep fev and get rid of lance while teams still want him.

I dont understand Carltons thinking, who are the most important players in a side, thats right KEY POSITION PLAYERS.

Carlton currently are thinking about trading one of these, who are proven players. MY god what is wrong with them! How can there be not enough room in our forward line for lance and fev, its ridiculous. FEV PLAYS FF, LANCE PLAYS CHF!

When we were playin sooooooooo well in the wizard cup it was cos this is how Carlton set up!!!!!!!!!!

Richmond are happy to get FEV and they've got richo..................gee Richmond must realise that a CHF and FF can both play toggether!

Imagine a forward line of: FISHER LANCE WAITE
LAPPIN FEV BETTS

I just cant see the logic in getting rid of lance and fev, and if carlton do im off the bandwagon forever, I will no longer barrack for Carlton...........unless they recieve another KPP in return there is no logic in this decision!

And F@ck Draft picks!!! I hate DENIS PAGAN!

I'm a bit of a rap for him, but "the next big thing" is over the top. He does have a good pair of hands, and defintely gave the forward line another dimension, but his kicking (especially outside 50), is a bit shaky. With an injury free season, 40 goals would be a pretty good return.

It's a very good point you make.

I don't think at any stage we played Whitnall with Fev since Fisher came back. With Waite coming into his own on a Flank, you should be able to beat the man dropping back that broke up the successful Fev/Red combo.

It all hinges on getting a CHB or FB to support Thornton I guess. If we got McConnell as a third tall with a bit of pace you could switch Livingston and McConnell at FB depending on the speed of the player at FF.

yes that is a great point maybe lance will return to CHF next season if lance looses some weight and gets alot fitter....

and i desparatly hope fev will stay!
