Flaggers v Non-Flaggers

If you had to make an all time team of players who won a flag against those who never won a flag who would win and what would your 22 players be for each team?

On face value you’d think the flag team but there have been many great players who never won one.

Skilton, Ablett Sr, Pavlich, Riewoldt, Buckley, Richardson, Lockett, Harvey, Roos.

Probably speaks more to the quality of their defense than anything else.

Most of the great players were in a team where there was one champion defender (or two). Then again, St Kilda always had Frawley who was brilliant against the best but as whole, there was very little else beside him.
Likewise during Riewoldt's era. They had everything else but no champion defender.

You’d have a harder time filling the backline but it depends how hard you want to look.
Didn’t Chris Grant miss out on a Brownlow by one vote playing at CHB? He would probably walk into a side like that anyway. The bloke was an incredible player. He was robbed of a Brownlow as it was because of a league imposed suspension for something he didn’t even get reported for.
There have been some f**king fantastic players who didn’t win shit.

You're right that there wasn't a champion bit they had Hudgton who was very very good.

What happened to him. AA squad in 08 to barely picked 09, injuries?
