Pizza Hut Singapore now has army stew pizza, kimchi beef pepperoni melts and cheesy rice cakes​

Just like army stew, this pizza has all the ingredients you'd expect including luncheon meat,
tteokbokki (rice cakes) and of course, instant noodles.


If you love Korean food and are looking to add a slice of excitement to your favourite dishes, this might just be the thing for you. Pizza Hut Singapore recently announced its new line of Korean-inspired menu items, including the Army Stew Pizza, Kimchi Beef Pepperoni Melts and Hot Jjang dip, which will be available until Nov 9.

That's right. Army stew on pizza.

So you'll be getting the usual suspects, like chicken luncheon meat, chewy tteokbokki, kimchi and ramyeon, served on a bed of decadent cheesy stuffed crust. As the ramyeon will be served separately, you can choose to layer it as a simple topping for the pizza or stir it together with the pizza toppings.

From now till Sep 24, dine-in and delivery customers can enjoy the regular version of this daebak (excellent) dish at just S$19.90 with the code DAEBAK



Don't ever think l'd put Budae-jigae on a pizza ! 🤣

It has been a HUGE hit. Selling about 150 of them a week.

I would never eat a burger so not a good judge. No burger king any where I go.

Thais don't like cheese. It has an off smell for them even that bland processed stuff.

109baht is about AUD 5. Lots of better options at a third the price.

Looks amazing but BBQ sauce on pizza is a horrendous crime!
 
Found a secret to make great rice. I use the absorption method with stock.

But I melt a knob of butter in the pan and throw in a diced onion and minced garlic. Not too small. As it starts to brown, go in with washed rice, veggies and mustard seed. A whole heap.

Lid on, heat down, 20 mins, you'll get flavourful rice with some crispy bits.

Burger king Thailand are now moving into non burger foods. Now, Had Yai grilled chicken
Gee, I've been to Had Yai (Hat Yai) a few times. Stayed out of the bars and I can't recall having grilled chicken there. I just recovered in a cheap room from burns on my legs for a few days while people brought me food and drink.

Available everywhere, driving, train and bus station. Lots of restaurants on the west side of train station.

Oh. I admit I wasn't really in great shape. I did venture out eventually and I found the place OK, despite the advice in the Lonely Planet.

On my last trip to the region we stayed on a local island. Arrived as a cyclone hit and we were unable to leave for almost a week. The sands of the beach were wiped away entirely but our bungalow didn't get blown away.

Food was fine - there were a few less chickens running around by the time we left. Come to think of it we would have had at least a few fried chickens.

Loved every minute of the time there. The weather was rough but made the trip even more adventurous.
 
I do use fish sauce (the good stuff, not the other one) and I have used balachan in the past but there are too many complaints from within the houshold if we use anything too stinky while cooking.

I did watch some ladies preparing fresh crab paste in a market in Hanoi. They had a big grinder and I can tell you, try as hard as they might to escape, those little crabs were not quick enough to escape the agile hands of the market crab grinding ladies.

Then, a pleasant discovery. We realised that when we crossed the street we were now in the puppy dog market.
