cos our players were too busy playing footy?
(notice how most of them were essendon/port adelaide players/and i guess collingwood players had an extra week to practice dance moves).

The only teams to make an apparence was Collingwood (they kind of have to be in it) Essendon, port, North. Most teams do not put in any players because they know how stupid it is. Next year I expect it will be just the Collingwood players. I wonder if it is written in to their contracts?

Not being part of The Footy show 'revue' can only be seen as a good thing, as far as I am concerned.

I think the most relevant criticism of the footy show should not be directed to the players revue but the absolute disrespect shown to Adam Cooney. It seemed as though it was "oh, by the way, Adam Cooney is in the audience....", an afterthought. Surely, the winner of the Brownlow Medal should have been interviewed and given some better recognition more than what was given. And then to top it off, Jonathon Brown's snub at the end, inferring Ablett will want to win the Norm Smith medal to "stick it up them" (whoever they are?) - my interpretation being that in his mind Ablett was robbed of the medal, therefore Cooney was an undeserved winner. Very poor effort by the footy show - no way will I watch it next week!!

Maybe Cooney was unable to be interviewed due to other arrangements with opposition channels or other media. If not it was absolutely pathetic and showed complete disrespect. As for the revue......just plain sad. Bunch of cocksparrow pretty boys looking like deer in headlights.

Why didnt the footy show do anything on scott west apart from getting the crowd to do a crappy little clap.
that was more dissapointing than adam Cooney..
p.s Aker gave Cooney some great praise witch I thought was good of Aker.

Thank you No Name - the watching TFS next week comment was obviously sarcastic (not scarcastic!) however the actual comment about Cooney was a serious comment on the pathetic treatment of the Western Bulldogs by TFS. Thank God for Acker's sincere and genuine comments!!!

The other odd thing I noticed with Cooney and his Mrs-to-be was how they had a surprised look when "Hairy Garry" did the "oh by the way the Brownlow Medalist is in the audience" like they werent expecting to be shown - which is odd because your at the Footy show!

Then when Aker did his praise on Cooney and started with "Guess whos in the audience" then I realised they stuffed up and stole Aker's tag.
Was rather disrespectful.

I was very happy with the way aker spoke about cooney, he had so much love for him! i normally like sam newman but when aker was praising cooney , sam newman said "oh shut up" when aker was talking. Aker had a good come back though when asked about the channel 7 show he was on , saying "they let me talk on there" hahah

Agreed, that was disgraceful. If West had been from ANY other club (well, maybe except Freo), he'd be interviewed for half and hour and had most of the dances dedicated to him. Pathetic effort.

What's really astounded me is the general lack of grace that has been shown towards Cooney's win. For what its worth, I also though Ablett probably should have won ahead of him (happy he didn't, of course :thumbsu:), but so many people have taken it as a personal insult instead of just congratulating a worthy winner just because they dropped a stack of cash on the outcome, makes me sick. Poor form, and by more people than I can mention (some of which I used to respect). :thumbsdown:

Exactly what I'm talking about. I couldn't give a rats backside about what he does to the mannequins on his program, his job is to promote the game of footy and the people that make it great, Cooney being a prime example. Wish Aker would have dropped a snake on him. :mad:

Speaking of Aker, the guy has decency and integrity coming out his ears. Genuine good egg. Any chance he can be retained post-playing career, maybe be our next coach? :D

Agree that Aker was very good. He was the only one on the show who seemed to be sincere in his praise of Cooney. Our boys Aker and Adam showed composure and good grace and once again our guys made me very proud to be a bullies supporter. Thanks Aker.

Oh well the bloke form the audience that won the $5000 was a bullies supporter:p

Lyon, Bradshaw and that old bloke are just a bunch of has beens. North Melbourne were in the Revue as well - talk about self promotion.:eek:

Kim Wild was a resounding success ...mate she looke like she walked of the set of Kath and Kim what an absolute debacle.

Maybe we should on as dietician ... to but some beef on Grant and Ayce

As for our player ..... stay away and keep your dignity.
