Coaching Staff Former Coach James Hird

Do you think Hird should coach Essendon again?

After reading some Facebook posts (and other social media) I will never have any sympathy for any other club and there plight. Way to many disgusting folks acting like children seeing delight in a man who falls off a bike and receives a concussion.

Just utterly utterly disgraceful, those people should be ashamed.

So you have no sympathy for the Adelaide football clubs because of a few bad apples? Grow up...

Wonder how it happened. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Obviously in that situation it's different, anybody who dies or has a serious injury is completely different(that's why I'm so angry at others). But right now I have a hard time feeling sympathy for any other club that has serious issues.

Why would you go trawling on Facebook of all places for comments on this?

It's the lowest of the low in that regard, everybody knows that.

Hird's fault.
That's how it's being reported:

James Hird has been injured in a road accident while riding his bicycle home

In a strange decision, Hird decided to ride his bike from home to Essendon’s Tullamarine headquarters and back again despite warnings of heavy rain throughout the day.

Not the best day for a bike ride but who knows, maybe on a fine day he does a 100km, & that could be part of his secret to managing to keeping calm & composed for so long.

Probably likely he will miss Friday night one would think.

Did Buckley miss a game with that hamstring? If so & Hird misses, would make it 3 senior coaches missing games in one season. Cant ever remember there being 2 let alone 3.

Brave to ride in the rain yesterday. I looked at the forecast and said no bike this week.

The man makes a mockery of us ordinary folks.
Settle down, kelv. Plenty of foolhardy types taking a chance on two wheels in the CBD yesterday!

Not sure why you would in that weather, but some folks are pretty dedicated to their fitness.

The last thing Hird needs is to be concussed (given all of the trouble he still has with his head/face).

That was my immediate concern also.

In a less serious worry, concussion can cause frustration and impulsive decisions, he might start up an injection regime at the club.

On another note Bunk starts a thread on the mb. Result gets closed due to trolling. The sheep can't help themselves. Sad.

Yes, very impressive wasn’t it.

My favourites were the extreme efforts some went with to troll subtly in the hope their post wouldn’t be deleted – like nobody would notice or something?

****in sad, sad cases.

The first text I woke to was this:

'maybe after hitting his head hird might start speaking the truth, as opposed to the self serving cover up he vomits. Can only hope something good comes from an unfortunate accident.'

I didn't take the bait.

But if he's lurking.... You just found my alias name mate!
