Played a few games now and I don't mind it. I think PUBG is still the better overall package but Fortnite still has its charm
Interested to hear your thoughts, feels like a massive step down to me. Has all the ingredients (+more) but just doesn't seem fun.

OK, have played a few games now and I don't mind it. I think PUBG is still the better overall package but Fortnite still has its charm. I kind of like not having to worry about attachments, and the smaller map due to having no vehicles makes the initial drop a little more chaotic where as in PUBG I'm prone to dropping in as far away from any other player I can. The art style is fun too. I think it will just depend on what mood I am in.

I have never played pubg but in Fortnite i tend to drop in the last 10 seconds or so, try to keep away from majority of players at the start and look for isolated buildings, i prob miss out on good loot doing this and sometimes i can be a fair way from the circle which means i have to sometimes hightail very early just to get there
I am still not very good though, i did get a 2nd once but think i killed only 2-3 doing it, got in top 20 a few times by mainly just stealthing my way through and being on edge of the map helps me not run into too many players early, though a couple of times other players have done the same and it turns out to be a race to get a gun which i usually lose lol

Went out and brought a headset as one of my mates plays and thought it would be fun to chat when we are playing squads, only played squads a handful times

It's not a bad game, kills time and its not too serious, can have a few games and then give it a break, might have a game now

It all just falls about for me with the key mechanic of shooting. Feels real bad.

Conclusion: this game and this thread are for people who's PC cannot run PUBG.

Time to back away slowly...

By and large, probably true. I do see some PC gamers that are enjoying it though.

I like Quake/Unreal style games as well, this one in particular just feels clunky and not particularly suited for battle royale.

I want a TWD Battle Royale where the storm is walkers

Just a TWD game would be awesome.. Not just a tell-tale games story game.. But an actual survival... Massive open world.. Basically a copy of what they do and can do on the show. Would be the best...
The simple building mechanic from fortnight would be perfect too. Obviously need more options and maybe make the things take longer to build, but still... Please someone make it.

I know right.

Common sense people.

Won my 2Nd squad game tonight... All 4 of us random survived... I swear we didn't see another soul untill about 50 people left.. By that stage we lucked into the path of 2 supply drops.. We got nothing outrageous, but definitely helped... Easy win really haha.

Next game I got down to final 12 and changed to the wrong gun, and got owned by the guy who turned around with a sub machine gun.. Aswell.

Played about half a dozen games in a squad of two or three last night and finished top five every time with a couple of wins. The tactic that we used last night that seems to work really well is to stick to the coastline. A lot of cool loot along the coast and it eliminates one whole side that you could get flanked from. We just keep moving along the coast inside the circle and then when we got down to approximately 20 to 30 players left we would take a gamble on a spot and start building a base. We got pretty lucky last night in that most places we chose to build a base fell inside the next one or two circle reductions meaning that everyone had to come to us.
