Gary Lyon is one of the worst choices, though isn't he fairly high up in the chain in the media? If so he likely picked himself to co-host the show.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved in the sacking of Robbo, with the motive of wanting the gig himself.

Edit: Lyon has had a go at the AFL as well occasionally, especially its woefully inadequate 'on-field concussion testing' policy - remember the Cameron incident? So Robbo confirming on radio this morning that he got 'the sack from 360' and he cracked this shits which was obvious as to why he wasn't on last night.

He says they told him they have other opportunities on the channel lined up for him but who knows if that's actually a thing and they're just saying it to lighten the blow of giving him the ass.

What is with the stupid drive-by on Jordan Lewis?

Who cares if Lewis doesn't send him a farewell text message? Either they're not mates, in which case it doesn't really matter all that much, or they are mates, in which case he'd hopefully have the chance to offer commiserations in person soon.

It's a bit like getting a farewell card in the office to sign for someone you don't particularly care for. They're not going to read the signature in three years' time and reminisce on what wonderful times you had together.

Just some tongue in cheek I guess, Lewis would always take a little swipe at Robbo at the beginning of each episode he had to fill in for due to Robbo's absence.
