Fox Footy co-host Mark Robinson looks set to leave AFL 360 after 14 years in the hot seat

I liked Robbo. And Robbo and Whateley as a team realy worked as entertainment. When Robbo was absent I turned off.

If Robbo's replacement was the too nice Jack Riewoldt or (especially) that smarmy Jordan Lewis AFL360 would have lost me for good. But Garry Lyon has a good footy brain and calls it as he sees it so that works imho.

Those taking pot shots about extra marital affairs need to put their big boy pants on and grow up. We're talking about a media show here not a feckin church choir. And no one 'owns' their partner, especially if they're already separated.

Who the feck cares what people do in their private lives when it comes to consensual relationships between adults. And just about every entertainer and actor on our screens would be absent if we did.

Most of us just want some decent entertaining and sometimes fearless analysis of whats happening in our game rather than the lick/suck AFL House circle jerk that we get via Channel 7 game coverage. And AFL 360 is the one program that has a chance of coming close to delivering that.

The show is unwatchable with him

Bloke comes across as a blubbering fool. I figure that they must thing 40% of their viewers are illiterate idiots and they need someone they can relate too

Show was infinitely better when he was off it a couple of years back

He was off it every 2nd night this season.. And yet he still manages to make Damian Barrett appear to have the football IQ of a potato, not to mention he seems to have some strange obsession with 'the chad'

He represented normal people much more than Whateley who came across like we hadn't spoken to a normal person in 15 years.

I disagree with that. I think they just come from different social tribes, different bubbles. Neither is more "normal" than the other.

We're a very separated, splintered society. The vast majority of my mates would share a hell of a lot more in common with Whateley; I'm sure that most of Robbo's friends come across a lot like, of course, Robbo. Most people don't socialise much outside of their bubbles - it's one thing that's led to such a politically polarised society.

That was one of the weird appeals of the AFL 360 duo - two people who, obviously, would never be friends in an organic situation, sharing a conversation for an hour. Whateley basically acknowledged as much in what was a pretty classy farewell ("We were brought together with almost nothing in common, other than footy. It’s a passion that bound us to each other, and also bound us to you").

Potatoes all over the globe object to this comparison.
