I don't want West Coast to get the lovey-dovey comments from the commentators, I just want neutral commentary.
I hate bias for WC just as much as I hate hearing it for WC's opponents. Bias and professionalism don't mix in the work of a commentator, as their job is to call the game, not barrack.

The amount of almost 50s was unbearable, I know it's been said but how they can plead for pro-Melbourne kicks and refuse to criticise or ask for the ones that are missed to us is amazing, not even trying to be even or neutral. Thank god for AFL 360 and On the Couch, at least there we have 20 seconds of positive coverage each week.

It shouldnt be because Gaff is a future superstar who I think shouldnt be subjected to homesickness calls every time he touches the ball. If you think that is a fine point of view then by all means /thread but if you want well equality and truthful reporting I think the club should well stand up for itself and put its foot down.

Those are headlines. Im saying we have those headlines reported everywhere because of Fox Sports misinformation. How you read anything else into it is beyond me

Ablett, Brown, Tippett, Palmer, Walker, Scully, Thomas, Ward, Harbrow, Rischitelli, Brennan, to name a few in the past few years have all had much more media scrutiny about possibly changing clubs than Gaff has.
Had to watch the entire second half with the sound turned off, as the commentary was so appallingly pro-Melbourne, even outright barracking, that I could not stand it any longer. To listen you would have thought Melbourne had won by 50-odd points, not the Eagles. Is it too much to ask for professional commentators who call the action, and analyse the performance of BOTH teams, not spend the entire match pumping up one side and totally ignoring the other team.'s existence. Very, very poor effort from Foxtel!

The fact that this Gaff one seems to be unfounded is what sets it apart. Of those guys how many ended up moving along (or set to move e.g. Palmer/Scully)? The Gaff one seems the most unfounded to me and it's just an excuse for a story because they've run out of new details about the vortex pocket.

Therefore, when you don't write sentences correctly people read them how they are written.

The most bewildering part of said comment was when they started throwing out names of players who were beaten and threw in Andrew Embley who got 25 possessions 8 marks, 1 goal 2 and was one of our best on ground.
If you couldnt hear the clear bias from frawley today you seriously have your head up your ass.
Even my missus who has a token interest in the eagles sung out from the kitchen " who is that prick dribbling shit about the demons".

I lost count of the amount of times that Dwayne said 'is that 50?' after a player took a mark and was slightly held up by their opponent. Real annoying that...
Straight after the game i felt like getting on here and pasting the commentators but felt maybe i was letting my WC fandom show but seriously we've won by nearly 50pts and according to commentators we just scraped in. Second Half was 60/40 eagles favor but gee you wouldn't know it.

I totally agree that the commentary was shocking today, however I feel that they just felt sorry for the Dees after the past few games. Honestly Melbourne could have been playing anyone in the top eight and the commentary would have been the same.
