Reckon they counted it as a blocked shot, but was surprised to see it in his points.

Wasn't feeling great after going Mbeumo and Lewis to Enzo and TAA before the weather news appeared, but the Enzo goal has helped. 54 with 2 Wolves to go.

From what i can tell the assist was given as it was a shot not a pass so a blocked shot falling to teammate who scores is an assist. They do make it up as they go.

To be fair this has been pretty consistent ruling. As long as it hit's only 1 player straight to the goal scorer.


I'm not sure it was a shot looking at it but the fact it touched 1 defender straight to Enzo who scored then it would be an assist.

But then I don't know how they tell Palmer's "shot" would've been on target any way.

A blocked shot and a blocked cross having different results just seems so silly to me. Neither has the intent of going to the player who ends up scoring, but one counts for points.

Just irritating particularly with Saka's goal ruled out, that everyone lumping on Palmer captain got rewarded even though he didn't actually 'earn' the goals.

You said as long as it only hits one defender it's given as an assist, in your second paragraph you seemed to suggest irregardless of it being a shot that that would be the case.

Up to OR rank of 12k but expect that to slip back a bit once bench updates are made at the end of the GW.

Tough choice this coming week on whether to go Salah or Palmer for captaincy.
