I think playing injured players through injury has backfired on us this season (probably the reason our injury list has been so short and now once we're basically out of finals contention all these injuries are popping up). Pearce, Serong, Brayshaw, Jackson, Fyfe and Fredrick have all been confirmed to be playing injured at one point and have all underperformed because of it. I suspect others too (Switkowski) that we just don't know about. I know this is a part of footy but if we have viable replacements, I would have preferred they be given a shot. Hamling for Pearce, Brodie for Serong/Brayshaw, Sturt for Fredrick or Fyfe, ect.
Annoys the hell out of me.

Players play through injury. Every team have and will do it.
Not sure why this is a surprise

Doesn't mean it is smart. Most of the ones playing with injury have been very ordinary and some could probably have been replaced with people who would have done a better job.

Pearce, Hamling, Ryan and Cox would be the worst defense ever in terms of rebounding.

Need to drop Ryan if you're going to play three KPDs.
watching him continually just bomb the ball blindly out of D50 was as bad as i've seen him do it on the weekend. I know it's hard with the amount of inside 50's carlton had, and you can't go boundary any more, but gees, those killed us. They just allow for repeat entries to pick off a free target.

Ryan was probably involved within 20-30 seconds of a fair portion of Carlton’s inside fifties. I’m not sure you’re trying to but I wouldn’t be using that as an excuse for Ryan - he’s a major reason why so many repeat inside fifties happen.

Young, too? What going on now? Suddenly we have half a megaton of injury. Or are we resting players in a game we won't win anyway?

I think it is a case of a few guys have been playing with slight niggles or minor injuries that are possible to play through and now they are giving them a rest.

We don't have megatonnes of injury, we've got a few blokes with 1 - 2 weeks niggles and we have a 6 day turn around against a side we're almost certain to lose to.

Seems to be the perfect week to give some guys a rest and see what we can make of the remaining games after that.

We have like 10 atm. Feels like a megaton, after having only 2-4 for nearly the whole season...

Yeah exactly - seems most likely we've put a line through this week given where our season's at. I don't like it but it's the pragmatic decision really.

If we're sitting at 10-4, it's reasonable to assume most of the outs are getting jabbed up and playing Saturday.

Isn't that what JoM did? Basically took away all his speed and power.

Terrible news for Walker and the club.
Did O'Meara tear or have tendonopathy?

Edit: Yep same injury. Idk if we should be judging him off how GC managed that injury and many others though.

That's true, but its very concerning given I'm not sure how useful he'll be if he loses that athleticism. It took JoM from Ablett comparisons to being a no 4 midfielder.
