The OP is somewhat right. Freo played their Grand Final tonight and are unlikely to progress much further.

Like Geelong tonight I think they've spent too many petrol tickets just getting there and it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't offer much resistance to Adelaide next week.

Actually pretty pleased I tipped Freo to finish 4th this year. They didn't quite get there but theyre playing like it.

Hats off to Lyons he's now for the second time turned an underperforming list into a cohesive unit who are playing for each other. Totally vindicated the Freo boards decision to get him and he and the team has delivered. I won't be surprised at all if they roll the Crows and hopefully Pavlich can get up for next week and have similar impact.

Just thankfull it wasn't the Eagles they flogged last night.
