Djokovic needs to stop telling everyone that they will win slams. From memory he also told Kyrgios at Wimbledon, and he probably has low chance if any.

To be fair Nick if he grew a brain and had a coach could win a US Open

Yep. Whilst Zverev is useless most times in big matches he can servebot and those types annoy Novak as it puts pressure on holding his own serve.
We’ll never forget that match at AO a few years ago where Zverev went like 50 minutes without a single error. His BH is crazy consistent and deadly with those angles. His serve is huge. He concerns me. His FH can break down though. I like the guy a lot, but other than his R1 match I haven’t seen much of him. Wish I had now.

I wonder how the draw would have worked out and what the final would have been if Medvedev didn’t play the prior tournament. Novak / Alcaraz would have been on opposite sides of the draw. Alcaraz probably would have still cramped so wonder how the final would have been different.

Well that was an interesting read lol, I just caught up on the match between Djokovic v Alcaraz, was such a great match then Carlos got those cramps and that was a sad ending to what was looking like an epic final…

Honestly said at the start anyone but Novak winning, but don’t like Ruud or Zverev either so I’ll prob just sit and watch but not go for anyone in final now…

Saw his QF and was very impressed still seems 6 months off his best but if he serves huge it worries me. Ruud is an easier matchup

Would have met in the final and you just never know but really the best two players in the draw played today. Been saying since the draw it’s a shame they couldn’t rig it to put them on opposite halves

Ruud has played well in matches I’ve seen him play, but haven’t watched Zverev all tournament so don’t know where he is at with form…

Longer the match goes, Ruud wins. Zverev has to win in 3 or maybe 4

This is what RG looks like without King Of Clay around, not as enjoyable for me I must say…all the other guys I like aren’t top players and will never be a Rafa…
Tennis will probably fade out for me when he stops playing, I’ll still watch the slams but beyond that I can’t see myself being interested in the smaller tournaments any longer…

You will find new players to watch and follow but it's definitely an adjustment post retirement of your fav player, especially if they're one of those two.

Agree I have felt similar since the Federer retirement. Like the look of Shelton as an up and comer but not at the level yet where he will consistently go deep in Grand Slams. Federer was something else when it came to watchability
