Well you get the terrible ones and end up with Aija and Saville who is handy top 30 players but what’s the point. The answer is better pathways and coaching, too many very average coaches and it filters to the top level when you have Hewitt type coaches who harm not help players as that style is a decade ago
Getting talented kids to play tennis is the biggest challenge.
Every town used to have a free tennis court when I was a kid.
Now councils put up basketball hoops instead. Much cheaper when you don't have to pay for a fence.
Grand slams going behind the paywall doesn't help either. Only have to look at rugby union to see how that can completely kill a sport.
