I think there are other reasons to keep it closed than the concern over money. I agree with the above, they basically can't be arsed is likely one of them.

Just heard Hagdorn say that the game will either be rescheduled or canceled due a virus in the grass and the boundary line being too close to the fence. He had blamed Fremantle for doing this at a meeting this morning with the commission.

Fyfe said Cerra is likely to get a run this week. He said he’s not sure what the team will look like, but imagines it will be a strong team looking to build form ready for round 1. Will be interesting if we go near full strength and whether Eagles do too or if they play the kids (something they don’t usually do, ever).
