Not the sort of person who blindly defends Freo – seriously, ask anyone on the Dockers board, but ultimately this is pretty vague.

Ultimately all large groups will result in clashing personalities. This is simply human nature. Whether it's your school cohort, a single class, your work circle, your footy club, every single person can attest to not liking a few people or simply hating people (or knowing that hate exists). Is it really any surprise that within a group of 40 people, young men with arrogance and ego and money, will end up hating a few? There are punch ups at trainings reported by the media, and there are tensions within change rooms palpable there but not in the wider world. Ultimately it will happen. And at a club like Fremantle, starved of success, a guy with a Brownlow and fan fawning will always rub a few people the wrong way.

As for pingers yeah whatever maybe. Wouldn't know. Ultimately it's a common thing in society, not absolutely 100% prevalent but plenty like it. A lot in the game get amongst so it so another bloke doing it... wow, no surprise. And how would this render him a dickhead? This isn't a break and entering Lawrence Angwin. And I'm sure if anything the empathy of a few boys on the stuff would only increase their love for one another!
