Whether he wins the Brownlow or not is meaningless.

Availability to play is more important. Shouldn't be risking that.

I didn't catch the other camera angles.

Fine, no chance of getting off without one, so Brownlow's gone.

Careless, High Contact, Low Impact

Nothing in it, but could see the AFL handing him a week based on Careless, Low Impact and High contact as he is out of fines. Would be extremely poor if that happens, but could make an example of him for his continued history of getting reported.

Put it this way if it was someone else not Fyfe would they be suspended or fined for that.
On that basis yes he should be gone for third strike and his out.

He won't though because AFL dictate what the want at the time it suits them. Fyfe being suspended doesn't suit the look of the game even though they suspend other players all year for similar things like that.

Front-on head contact, which was classified as dangerous years ago. Unfortunate, but he simply cannot be cleared without the MRP being laughed out of town.

Isn't this what the rule was brought in for?
He slid in, mind you recklessly, at a bloke who is bent over head over the ball trying to pick it up.

There has to be a duty of care...that is dangerous and he should be cited.

Some people leaping to defend Fyfe purely based on brownlow crap.

He slid in, past the ball and connected high. Let's say careless, high contact, low impact. I don't think you can argue with any of those descriptions of the incident- that's a fine I believe.

3rd fine for him this season he gets a week. He's had too many of these incidents this year- nothing shocking by itself but at this point it's his own fault.

Brownlow medal heats up.
