Well there are plans. That's literally what the documentation prepared by Archipelago and Steven Wilson are. They are plans.
I concede Archipelago do have a plan,
I went to their website and dug deeper.
I know you are really keen on Brisbane Bold going ahead.
I just don't see it happening though.

You probably have seen this interactive version on their website but i will put up the link anyhow. It's quite good.
Others may like to have a look.
At the bottom Layout, Diagrams load quickly, and each has sections that pop up on the right to click on.
Animation also good. It is like a flyover with a few stops along the way.
Masterplan & Power point took a while to load on my PC. The masterplan is quite good to view and gives more detail.

I agree. It's too good and makes too much sense. It'll never get through all the red tape. I mean it didn't even get addressed in the Quirk review.

Thanks for sharing the link.

I was unable to open the Tim Mander talk.

Regarding Anika Wells.
If she is a big Lions fan that may in fact work against us.
It could be viewed as being a conflict of interest even though cricket is involved
That may be why in her reply to my email in March she basically put it back on the Qld Government.
She mentioned something like:
I have had no request from the Qld government to alter the agreement.
At present we are committed to the $2.5 billion maximum towards the Brisbane Arena venue.
Although any change to the agreement, the Commonwealth would have to approve the change.

Search Tim mander stadium interview on Google then click the videos tab, about 5 options from different sites should pop up.

The lions are clever and obviously getting close to Wells, she was on the ground when the cup got presented on GF day, about 20m from them lifting the cup celebrating.

I've got a feeling the afl might have told the libs in their meeting pre election that they should get the feds involved. Christifulli stated in his phone call to albo 'he mentioned speak to anika wells and she's a Queenslander so hopefully we can get a good result there' (or something along those lines).

I don't think it'd be seen as a conflict of interest, especially when you have Albanese an NRL super fan funding 600 mil to png and 40 mill to an alliance for his own Newtown jets, along with miles being a Broncos fan pulling out an unneeded $1 billion upgrade for Suncorp. She is too low profile for anyone to care.

On her email to you she had no reason to engage at that stage, because the feds didn't have a dog in the fight. They chose not to get involved with the stadium build, again that was likely an Albanese decision.

Please posters it is roughly $500 million for Suncorp and $500 million for the Gabba as the funding stands at present
Not $1.5billion or $1 billion being a huge difference

Easy to get mistaken, it was announced at the time like it was $1 billion and when you search Suncorp upgrade on Google, it all still comes up as $1 billion.

I got as far as the bit about "30 days".

So it's not 100 days at all. It's 130 days, and given that 30 day period evidently hasn't started yet, it's actually 137 days AND COUNTING.

Bookmarking this in case I ever need to be reminded why I've never wanted to take a cushy public sector job 🤮

I thought 2 weeks after election to set up and start would be okay.
They should already have candidates picked out and approached in case they won.
Just a matter of doing the public service thing in confirmation or whatever the word Crisafulli used to set it up.
Mainly because i think a lot of the cogs need to be in place before Christmas where they may not be able to source the information they want or request.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't just do a 30 day review and use the info from the quirk report, then start a new stadium as soon as possible, so that it's forgotten about in 4 years time when they're back for re-election.

The only thing I can assume is they're pushing it as close to the federal election as possible so that either

a) They can get albo to put his hand in his pocket for the stadium.
Or
b) Hope that Dutton gets in so they can split the costs that way.

Nah he said 100 days. Say what you mean and mean what you say. It really shouldn't be that hard. I get what you're saying and it all makes sense but he never said any of that stuff prior to the election. He said 100 days, end of story.

I was referring to your "30 days" comment which was mentioned in the article.
So, i thought 14 days would be enough over the 30 days mentioned.
I thought my comment was quite clear on that point.

Not sure who these guys are but they seem keen on Hamilton.

I get the train line but (although still just one line) but wouldn't we have issues with the post game crowd dispersal there?

Tinfoil hat perhaps, but I get the sense they are a mouthpiece for some prominent developers. Perhaps with a finger in some nearby housing developments.

Makes sense tbh. If that's going to be the continuous independent Olympic body that is going to exist up until the Games are actually held, it'll take a while for the body to actually exist.
