It's funny how those that believed he would stay had "no justification for it" as the basis of the argument presented by those who believe he would go. But when he does stay there is the "it very easy to say in hindsight"!That is very easy to say in hindsight.
Like JJ, Lynch is invaluable in turning a five goal win into a 10-12 goal win. As soon as it's a break even game, both these guys become liabilities. I'm becoming more and more convinced that we should replace Lynch with a player who can also run through the stoppage rotation. Bad teams still have numerous good players, neither Lynch or JJ would be any good in a bad team. They're great at maximising wins, but they're non-entities when it comes to setting up the win.
True. But the role Cameron had is different to what he has been doing.Knight is already in the side though,

I reckon Knight could be a very good attacking midfielder.

Lynch is an entirely different kettle of fish to JJ
That’s why Pork have recruited to Watts to mimic him
Watts won’t have Lynch’s work rate
Talking of which .....
Atkins issue is as a junior he had that natural talent whereby he didn't have to work hard, but still won junior B& F's ......that lack of application saw him turfed from the AFL Academy
If Atkins had gone to a BRIS, CARL, or St KIlda, he'd be out of the AFL system by now ....thankfully he got away from his mates & to a disciplined club .......his development has continued to grow, has a way to go, but it was great that he see's himself wanting to develop his inside game more & spend time in the midfield
He'd of had a harder time in that he probably wouldn't have as many chances too. We had 4 less rookies coming in during that period, other teams would have had 4+. Less chance for him to survive in those conditions, especially when he was spent the majority of his first year in Sturts reserves side. It’s a pity I can only like this once
Especially the “if he’d gone to Carlton Brisbane etc he’d be out of the system”
I know it’s a hypothetical but it feels as true as the sun coming up tomorrow
.... He was "pigeonholed" (something Colin Sylvia probably considers a genre of pr0n...)
That had my wife checking to see if I was okay I laughed so loud.
I was pretty happy with it...
