Not entirely sold on the new casting of the Mountain. I preferred the old one. Still looking forward to the trial by combat. I hear Oberyn is training the house down. :p

Ugh, pretty bad episode I thought, they seemed to just jam as many semi-conclusive story lines into the episode as possible. The only part I really liked was Jaime and Tyrion's back & forth and their little chat about their "special" cousin.

It's losing some of its lustre. It's become just something to watch rather than something to look forward to.

I do like that Sansa is becoming a bit less of a passive character.

Deneryus' (sp?) scenes are increasingly becoming an ordeal.

My wife doesn't really watch GoT, but she does have an uncanny ability to catch the parts when someone is being decapitated, impaled, burnt, circumcised, devoured or popped. :straining:
Ditto. My wife is still barely talking to me after she caught the last 5 minutes of the last episode.

Is it worth a look?

It's incredibly interesting and I'm a pretty big fan of Mads Mikkelsen, as well as the interplay between him as Hannibal & his main co-star Hugh Dancy. There's some bits that you think are just bullshit and some that are enthralling, I think it's a tad overrated by some people but have read about the plans for the show and I like the direction it is heading. But god damn, I have honestly never seen a show or film that comes close to the brutality of the murders you see on it. I've only watched as far as the first ep of the second series and have heard it only gets more disturbing, which is saying something.

Can't wait to see how/if Tyrion gets out of this. Will be disappointed if he goes. Do love Sersei though, so wicked.

No spoilers, but if it's true to the book... :D

One of my favourite bits.

Not sure why I keep clicking on the alert for this thread - I have read all of the books so far but only watched the first season on the television (well DVD) - so when people comment about what just happened I have no idea what they are talking about and it has been mentioned that it is working away from the books so why am I here?

Not sure that knowing there might be eight when he is being annoying at six is a good bit of news ....

I discovered the series after the first three had been written (2002 I think). The five and six year waits are all I've ever known.

I read my first one from the library then my wife bought me the box set as a gift so this is my only wait... then again I started reading WOT around book three so I can relate to the concept....

I came across the books and read them all just before the most recent book came out (perfect timing) so the wait for this series is new.

Well used to the waits for WoT though.

On a side note my gf is still angry about the last episode and is talking about giving up on the show. She didn't even get that angry for the Red Wedding. I just laugh at her and refuse to give away spoilers
