About to head to the game now boys. 721 days we've been waiting for this one ;)

So excited for this game, I get to add Smith and Pup to my list of debut games Ive seen (makes it 3 including Shiels :p). SHOULD have been Savage too if not for a wedding I had to go to

Bring it home Hawks :thumbsu:

I'm putting beer in the fridge now. (Little Creatures Pale Ale)

If we win, I'll want it.

If we lose, I'll need it.

Form aside, they're a hoodoo side for us. Maybe Clarko and his Port baggage has given us some sort of complex. I can almost hear him "... they're a proud club ... yadda yadda yadda", and I think we almost show them too much respect because of it.

On paper, and form, we should destroy them. If we show up to play, we will win.

They are coming off one of the darkest periods in their clubs recent history. (Actually, its hard to imagine them being this bad!) At some point they are going to bounce back with a vengeance. We know they can turn it on (against the Crows). Beware the wounded tiger and all that I say. Hope its not this week and we can get a good win under our belts.

Go the new blokes and Carn the Hawks.

I've been delayed in Sydney. Flight freakin' cancelled. I'll be scouring the airport in the hope of finding a Telly showing the game. Don't like my chances but here's hoping. Any late changes? Whispers there might be one - but what would I know stuck in this desert that is Sydney.

Understatement to say it's a must win game. I hope we come out with intensity and don't back off.

If you get stuck Grizz- you can come watch the game at my place. I'm ten minutes from the airport. It's not much, but twill serve. :thumbsu:

time for the real HFC to step up and make a statement.

Get out hard and fast and belt this bunch of pea hearts into next week.

100pts victory please.

Looking forward to the game. Have my usual pre-game nerves, but honestly, we should have a comfortable win!

Still waiting on the final line ups. Guessing Smith or Whitecross will be sub?

Re: Late Change

No late changes from Port

Benches:
Port Adelaide: Matthew Broadbent, Robbie Gray, Daniel Stewart
Substitute: Simon Phillips

Hawthorn: Rick Ladson, Sam Mitchell, Clinton Young
Substitute: Shane Savage

Re: Late Change

We've obviously got the intention of subbing Savage on for Smith when he starts to tire, but have they considered the problems that arise if we get an injury to someone else? Is Smith really going to be fit enough to spend the whole game on the ground given he played on Sunday?

Renouf vs Brogan...geezus.

A late change has just been filed for the Hawks - Hale out (stiff back), Murphy in.

Tonight's substitute is Shane Savage.

Another small in and a tall out... oh boy!

Pretty sure they are smart enough to consider that possibility. Smith is pretty fit, it's the height forward that worries me when rough goes into the ruck.
