If we put more down there it's just going to become a bigger cluster**** than it is. Bombers have 2 back, so if we put more down there, their opponents will come as well. We have to keep it as open as possible. Gotta spot up a lead instead of the long bomb though,.

So frustrating, win three quarters of football, play better than Essendon in 2.5 of those quarters as well, two of them we dominated, and we still couldn't win the game. We simple did not take our chances in the forward line, simply as that

Because we just bombed it in there down the line. That's been Fletcher's bread and butter for 20 years. Had to take risks and run it and kick short inside 50. Instead we delivered it on a platter to him.
