Footage on television news last night showed michael limping badly following game.

Serious cocern because like Brad Hardie I believe he is in our top five and we badly need him back - fit - if we are to have a chance of winning the GF.

Yeah I know he's hardly played all year and we've won lots of games but finals are different.

Hope this is not true he is a key ingrediant for us for the rest of the year I would have thought something would be on the W.C.E website if this is true not SEABY saying Geelong got the jump on us DRRRRR!!!

The West Coast Eagles have as many as four players facing fitness tests ahead of this week's top of the table clash against Adelaide at Subiaco Oval.

Ruckman/forward Michael Gardiner gave a standout performance for Claremont in the WAFL on Saturday, but is suffering foot soreness.

Phil Matera has missed several weeks with a groin injury, but is likely to line up against the Crows.

Another key player, Andrew Embley, is a chance to return after being on the sidelines with a foot injury.

West Coast Injury list:

Brad Smith (knee) Season
Beau Waters (groin) 3 weeks
Daniel McConnell (glandular fever) 2 weeks
Josh Wooden (groin) 1-2 weeks
Andrew Embley (foot) Test
Andrew McDougall (shoulder) Test
Michael Gardiner (foot) Test
Phil Matera (groin) Test

Well, Seaby is Captain Obvious, isn't he? :D

i believe a fit gardy up forward for 4 quarters could net a bag of 5 goals. Surely they can kick it into the 50m, he can stick his mits in the air, kick some set shot goals even if he is not 100% fit, this is in a final.

The eagles were stupid not to play Ash McIntosh at FF in the 03 final as the week before he kicked 7 for the Tigers.

Eagles are not quick when thinking about goalkickers

We have barely seen anything of WCE on Adelaide TV this year. And I don't have Fox.

This is a serious question based upon a complete lack of knowledge.

How essential has Gardiner been for the WCE's 17 wins this year?
