When those guys came over, we already had a full list of 24. Leopold didn't want them, and we gave them a home. There's your facts.

What a boring thread this has become, all this contract talk is bullshit, They signed a bloody contract, they are not kids, Grow a set and give it your best shot at the higher leagues, And at the end, you may come out of it with a participation award, Because that's what they give to keep sooks happy, The soft society that we live in today is crap harden the f up. A Contract is a binding document, at the end of the day The said players signed it, so bad luck. All this crap about keeping a kid out of footy big deal a contract is a contract. As for the Nth Shore Miller case, its only a case of something happened, well if it was that bad I'm sure an appeal would have sorted it out, Bannockburn did not want to go down that path, And to all the players that are in the 18-19 age bracket that are playing or striving to play GFL good on you, after your contracts are finished there's the option then to step down a grade to GDFL or BFL or even CDFL but at least you had a shot, and if your ready to go up again give it a crack but be mindful of what you are signing.

1/ Keeping kids out of footy is no big deal?
They are part time footy players at best. You condone that?
2/ I assume you are / were a real, real, real hard nut? (Proof required please, because you talk so tough). Ie. "Grow a set", "Soft Society" "Sooks", "Harden the F up", they are all your quotes. You must be a legend footy player.
3/ If you only knew what the North Shore players did to that poor kid Miller when he said he wanted to leave.
It was way, way past Bullying. Any other workplace would have seen legal action taken.
But you seem to know everything, so I'm sure you've heard all about it?
4/ You must have won a few league B and F's, or coached a few premiership teams, you certainly have a high opinion of yourself.

Don't think there was anything unusual in the results except maybe east and geelong west. The top 3 once again are well ahead of anybody else with North Geelong just trailing behind. The battle for 5th is well and truly on.

If you sign a contract, under 18 a parent must sign with them, 18 and over it's their decision. as I said before if a club is at fault and it can be brought forward to an appeal do it, BANNOCKBURN gave up, WHY, as for the others CONTRACT was signed get over it

I dont get your Wilson reference? Ive only come across Bigfooty the last couple of weeks.
But being a bigot and attempting to belittle people with your aggressive rubbish cannot be good for you.

If youre the man with all the knowledge, tell us where, why and how Portarlington are going to make an improvement for the first time in a long time? Youd want to be careful seeing the already noticeable improvement that Newcomb are making? Concerning.

I think they will leave. I am someone who has been active in all three leagues across Geelong, and the stigma that comes attached to players moving to GDFL clubs from especially GFL and the BFL is enormous. The gap in standard from GDFL (aside from maybe Bell Post) is enormous even to BFL and there is a massive gap again from BFL to GFL. I think they would retain a few players, mainly the home grown rusted on ones, but as far as recruits go I think it would be a massive battle to retain any of them. Happy to be proved wrong, but thats my opinion.

I would like to think they would. It can only be a good thing especially for the clubs like Bell Post Hill to move on up and take on some new challenges. Provides a bit variety and makes dead rubber matches actually mean something. And it would be great to see a club like East start in Div 3 and work their way up to div 1 one day.
