Belmonts pressure was fine, Anakie just seemed to have structure and know where each other were, I do agree that it's not the best way to judge a team v Belmont but I did add that if they picked up a couple of players they would be a chance, 3 or 4 half decent players at GDFL level make a world of difference
Richert back would be perfect, they still gave up a score against
I think that answers anakie's credentials as a final contender. Already looks like north and bell post top two. With Inverleigh, Werribee, east and Winchelsea fighting for the other 3 spots! Inverleigh massive surprise and weribee has just had a tough 3 game stretch. Listening to the pulse satday and even after bph soundly handled winch the commentators were still talking about north are a few steps ahead still. It's going to be tough to get close to them this year
North only to get stronger.... A former 3 time premiership player and whitley medalist jumping across...
I know it's early but grigic has all ready said he's not coaching hill next year.. So who will take over? Tarr & Fursland? & will Ricky otoole keep his job at east if they again don't deliver a flag, they have spent a lot of money the last 3 years in guys like challis ky roberton johnson marsh & mawson
How can bob carter sit on the tribuneral for a bell post hill player if that isn't a conflict of interest I don't know what is. No suprise Lewis got off.
Is everyone going to have a look at Fevola playing for West on Sunday?
I heard Kain Pettifer ex Richmond is playing too?
Do you think they can beat North?
West won't get the ball to fev often enough to kick a winning score north easily. Banno looked good today tore the game apart first quarter too quick both leg speed and ball movement. Anakie made a good game of it 2nd half but damage was already doneIs everyone going to have a look at Fevola playing for West on Sunday?

I watched the same game and was excited to see what fev could do . But what I witnessed was a bloke who treated the Gdfl as a legends game . Yes the cheetahs didn't deliver the ball perfectly but he didn't even try , which was the most disappointing part .i could see the strain on Washo , which he looked like he didn't even want to be apart of it.Yep that's what happened.
It was wet which doesn't help him. It was a mud pack in the middle so going forward was slow. He was very unlucky with the umpires. Also he didn't play the best and was happy to just stay deep most of the day.
However the biggest factor was Geelong West just wasn't good enough to give him much of a chance. No decent supply. He got double and triple teamed all day and west had no idea how to either take advantage of that or prevent them from doing it.
North were clearly better.
It was fun though.

As a cheetah fan I don't want to see him return at all , prob would have played better without him , and be prouder
I would of thought being spotted at 6am in town drunk would affect your performance and desire to perform buy apparently the Geelong west coach assumes not and was happy with the output.
Back to reality, is it down to 4 teams with a chance? Bph, north, winch, inva. No one thought bph would be 11-0 but there not putting away sides like they should, north are still the team to beat in my eyes with winch looking better since bolstering there list. Inverleigh are the dark horse, quick and skillful. Massive test this week against bph but at home there always a shot.
Didn't Inverleigh lose at Home on Sponsors day last week to lowly Belmont???
Pencil in BPH v North Grandfinal in seniors and quite possibly reserves.
I know that North won the senior/reserves double last year as did bph the year before, but I can't recall in recent memory where both grand final match ups have been the exact same. I can remember a few instances of 1 club playing in both grand finals, but not against the same opponent in both grades.
Can anyone remember this happening last?
